Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Texas

Fully disappointed after my order this morning, Dec 3. Have had kolaches from the other Shipley's down Potranco by 151 and I remember them being good. The only fix for this experience would be to return for a full refund and never go back.

Kolaches: ordered one plain and one cheese. They don't do anything to differentiate visually between the two so if you only order a small amount you've got to open them up to see what is what. The breading on both was thin (as if it hadn't risen) and mushy soft, tasting heavily of oil (which makes no sense unless they fry them instead of bake).

Donuts: Never had the chance to order a donut from Shipley's before so I seized the chance and ordered 2 glazed and a blueberry cake. Disappointed all around. All three were again mushy soft as if wet but they were really soaked in oil. The blueberry had no rigidity like a cake should have. It literally fell apart as I tried to eat it. Very little blueberry taste as well. Threw it away. Glazed tasted of cinnamon, not what I want in a glazed donut. They also had zero strength so as I bit it the donut mostly just compressed which is when I realized it was soggy with oil.

The Price: I ended up paying $6.10 for all of this disappointment. $.85/glazed, $.90/blueberry,...

Stay away from this place!!! My family and I went to buy donuts this morning and I was DISGUSTED at what I saw. The place was busy. Line of cars at the drive thru and a line inside. First of all, no one was wearing hair nets and the girls behind the counter looked hangover, tired or just plain unhappy to be there. The girl working the window asked 2 girls behind the scenes to help with the line of inside customers. One girl, as she was walking up to the counter, scratched the back of her head and then wiped her nose with her hand. She then proceeded to help a customer and handle money, then went back to work on the donuts, which all looked gross and messy. I noticed she was grabbing all the donuts WITHOUT GLOVES and spreading icing on then WITH HER FINGERS!!! I WANTED TO VOMIT!!!! I told the girl working the window what I saw and how disgusting and unsanitary that is and then we walked out!! We went down the road to Delightful Donuts and had a much more pleasant experience. I've always loved Shipley Donuts but this is absolutely unacceptable. If I could give this ZERO...

I went here for the first and last time today....my son and I got 6 donuts...all I asked for was 2 blueberry cake donuts and my son got 2 filled donuts and 2 iced donuts....got home and neither cake donut was blueberry at all...both were plain and dry, dry, dry....my son got one of the filled donuts and said there was barely any filling in it...from looking at it he was right...but what really made me mad enough to get on here and actually leave a review which I usually let things go but my son picked up one of the iced donuts and it had a long black hair attached to it....honestly, they make BETTER donuts at Walmart! I guarantee you that I will never be back and I was sadly disappointed in a donut shop that I thought was supposed to be great....it was the exact opposite of great. By the way, we went on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and the only thing good about the place was the lady who waited on us was very cheerful and smiling but I'm sorry to say the donuts...
