Really wish I could give better than 3 stars. First off, the good points - the food was excellent and the beer (and beer list) was awesome. Food and beverage were definitely 5 stars. I was there with a fairly large party - for shareables, we tried the fried pickles and the cheesy bread - both were delicious and I would get them again (of the 2, my favorite was the pickles). For my main course, I got the Not Yo' Momma's Margherita pizza - it was excellent as well. I had 2 beers: Hudson River Bock and Devour Mexican Chocolate Covered Strawberry Stout – both beers were excellent – the Devour Mexican Chocolate was awesome – thick and malty with excellent flavor (I don’t like “fruit” beers, “sweet” beers, or “sour” beers – I wouldn’t say this beer was any of those – it was dark, smooth, malty, thick with an excellent flavor. That is the good points – if were to stop here, it would be 5 stars. If it’s your first time here, this place can be hard to find – google maps doesn’t show the location accurately. If coming from 121, exit at Grandscape and head towards Scheels and Andretti. You will need to park in front of either of these places (both are very large stores). Between Scheels and Andretti, there is a small street that is pedestrian only – walk down this “road”. On the back side of Andretti’s, you will find Parry’s – there is a fairly large grass field nearby so if you see the grass, you are close. Parking is a bit of a challenge – there is plenty of parking but you will have a bit of a hike to get to the restaurant – there is no parking close to the restaurant itself. Service was a bit lackluster. Our waiter forgot to put in 1 of our party’s order so his food finally came out around 20 minutes after everyone else even though we all ordered together. Another of our party got his bill and it wasn’t correct so he had to flag down the waiter and have him correct the bill – then when he came back, he forgot to bring back the credit card so our party member had to flag him down again and have him go find the lost credit card which he eventually did. The waiter could have used a bit more training (he was unable to answer a couple of our questions). He did admit he was very new and had just started working there so it is somewhat excusable and understandable. He did seem to care about what he was doing and was trying hard – I think he was just in a bit over his head. Finally, we went on a Tuesday night – they had a trivia contest with a guy on a microphone that would ask questions and have folks write down answers and put them in a jar. I’m sure some folks really enjoyed this, but the volume on the mic was very loud and made it difficult to have any kind of conversation with the folks at the table – I was there to spend time visiting with my friends, not listen to some dude ask trivia questions with a “megaphone”. Although I am giving them 3 stars, I’d be willing to try the place again. The food and beer was great, now that I know where they are actually located that won’t be a problem, and I think the service issues will be corrected once the waiter has been there a bit longer (he definitely has potential). I would come on a night they do not have the trivia...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Parry’s and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The combination of friendly service, delectable pizza and cheesy bread, good beer options, a fun ambiance, and reasonable prices made it a five-star experience for me.
From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warmest smiles and a genuine eagerness to make my visit a pleasant one. Their friendliness truly set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the pizza and cheesy bread. Oh my goodness, they were heavenly! Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the perfect blend of toppings and melted cheese left me craving for more. The dough was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crispiness. The cheesy bread was oozing with cheese and had the right balance of flavors that made it a delightful companion to the pizza.
To complement the delicious food, Parry’s offers a commendable selection of beers. Whether you prefer a classic lager or an adventurous craft brew, they have something to satisfy every beer lover’s palate. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety they had to offer.
The ambiance of Parry’s was another aspect that impressed me. The vibrant and lively atmosphere, coupled with tastefully chosen decor, created a fun and enjoyable environment. Whether you’re visiting with friends, family, or even on a date, the ambiance adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.
Lastly, the prices at Parry’s were quite reasonable considering the quality of food and service they provide. I found myself pleasantly surprised by the bill, as it was well within my budget. The excellent value for money made me appreciate the experience even more.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Parry’s to anyone in search of exceptional pizza, cheesy bread, a wide selection of beers, a fun ambiance, and reasonable prices. The friendly staff, incredible flavors, and overall fantastic experience make it a top-notch destination for pizza lovers like myself. I can’t wait to return and indulge in their mouthwatering...
Read moreNew, true New York Style Pizzeria and Tap house located in the New Grandscape Venue in The Colony Tx. They have 80 Beers and Ales on Tap, more if you include cans and all available in glass for in house or plastic cups that you can take with you anywhere in the complex (nice twist) Daniel is a wonder and informative Bar tender and very attentive. Samples of any of thier on Tap items are available on request if you want to try something now or are not sure what you like. They have a live concert stage right across the pavilion from the outside patio and this will be a premiere spot to watch outside events at. The Pizza was great! We had the 5 Burrows Pizza with a few custom modifications. Delicious for certain, Crust was tender inside appropriately crispy outside. Cheese was delicious and stringy (like its supposed to be) all the vegetables were crispy fresh and delicious as were the meats. Look foward to trying more of thier extensive menu on the future. Oh and a order of thier amazing fried pickles are on the way......They are Fried Pickle Spears and taste awesome! Update 6/24/2022: Well the beer on Tap selection they have is still awesome and very competitively priced. Most drafts are 16 oz. And range from $5-$10. Also served frosty Ice cold. *The fried pickles are still delicious but the size changed dramatically since they first opened. We got a very lean pile of chip pickles. *The second issue The Pizza we got was hailed as The Brooklyn Bird and was supposed to be a Succulent Roasted Chicken BBQ'D pizza......we were actually pretty displeased with both the flavor and texture. The crust was dry as a desert, there was very little cheese and it was difficult to identify any actual BBQ chicken peices. Overall I would have rather paid as much as 30% more and got a much higher quality product like the Pizza they served when they first opened. We likely will not be returning to this location with so many other options...
