This location is the worst location I’ve visited across the US & other countries! The manager must have a very odd restroom policy in place. In every other location I’ve been to, you ask the staff for the code & they give it to you. Then you can order your drink afterwards & not have to bring it into the restroom with you! At this location the staff state they do not have the code & insist the only one with a code is the cashier. My partner went up to cashier to order first so I could use the restroom. He placed his order & asked for the code, but the cashier refused to give it to him until the credit card was literally swiped. It was disgusting! After it was swiped & I got the magic code, the bathroom let me walk in on someone else as apparently the lock times out after a short time!! The poor guy I walked in on, he was in shock & humiliated! Then as I hurriedly used the other bathroom, I also had someone almost walk in on me as I couldn’t get the toilet paper to unravel, & I was in there for maybe two minutes?! While all this is happening my partner observes this poor older gentleman also trying to use the bathroom but he can’t get up fast enough from his chair to beat people trying to get the code, & then jumping back in bathroom line. I hate to think how he’d ever be able to use the bathroom fast enough without code timing out! It was utter chaos for a stupid bathroom & was ridiculously stressful. Seriously, it was beyond the worst experience I’ve had & I’ve been to Starbucks all over the US & in multiple other countries. This was taking the bathroom code to an extreme, both with trying to get in it in the first place & then with trying to beat an unknown timer while finally utilizing it. I have no idea how they can lawfully have such a short timer as there are people with disabilities who would need more time to use the restroom with an attendant. Plus for older people too! I was so disgusted with this experience I walked out without ordering as I had planned and my partner walked out & we went elsewhere for coffee for me & a bathroom for him. We make a point to stop at Starbucks as we travel, as they normally have a clean bathroom & the coffee is consistent. We will never stop here again & will go elsewhere. I never leave reviews like this but it really angered me that we were treated so poorly, & for what? For a stupid...
Read moreI very seldom have anything but an excellent experience at any Starbucks I ever visit, but today was an exception.
Every year I anxiously await my first trip "to town" after the Starbucks holiday drinks come out. I'm a coffee fan, and the Caramel Brulee latte is my very favorite drink. It's only available a few weeks out of the year, so scoring one is a very big deal to me. I should mention, I live almost two hours from this location, and it's my nearest Starbucks.
I pull into the drive thru and place my order. It's very clear they took the order correctly as they repeat it back to me. I pull up to the window and pay for my drink, which they charged me correctly for as well. I get handed and extremely hot drink and since I'm in the car alone I pop the drink into the cupholder and hit the road.
Every few miles I touch the cup, hoping it's finally cooled down enough to drink. About 10 miles east down I-84 it's finally cooled enough not to scald me so I take that first blissful sip. Well, that's what I expected to do anyway. When I finally get a taste of my drink I discover what tasted like a cup of black coffee. I actually take several sips thinking my mind is playing tricks on me, but the taste never changes.
When I finally get to Biggs I stop to put some gas in my car and take a look at my cup. The little order sticker shows that I've been given an Americano. Needless to say, I am already beyond disappointed at this turn of events.
I called the store to let them know what happened. The young lady who fielded my call was polite and sympathetic, but it took her a while to understand what my complaint was. When she finally grasps what transpired she apologized and said, I'll take down your name and next time you come in we will remake it for you.
If I lived in The Dalles, or even near The Dalles, that might have been an acceptable solution, albeit an unnecessary one because I could have just gone back and replaced it at the time. I live two hours away and I have no idea if I will even be back in The Dalles before the holiday drink go back into the vault for the year.
All things considered, this was a very disappointing visit with an unsatisfactory resolution...
Read moreI recently visited my local Starbucks, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, instantly lifting my spirits.
The baristas were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to help me find the perfect drink, recommending a seasonal favorite that I absolutely loved. Their attention to detail really sets this Starbucks apart.
The seating area was clean and comfortable, providing a perfect spot to relax or get some work done. I noticed a nice mix of regulars and new faces, creating a vibrant community vibe.
I also appreciated their commitment to sustainability, with eco-friendly cups and a clear focus on responsible sourcing. It feels great to support a place that cares about the planet!
Overall, my visit was a delightful blend of excellent service, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return for my next...
