Donut Express — Restaurant in The Woodlands

Love this place since I started going on the weekends. However during the week it's a different story, the kolaches are burnt and dry and seem to be from the day before. Hollow, and dry inside and the sausage has a hard crust on it, simular if you leave it out all day. Had this happen to me on Wednesday 10am. I was very unhappy and noticed a no returns or exchanges sign while checking out and now I understand why the necessity. Tried again on Friday and experienced the same dry crusty kolache but this time I got the small kolaches as well.... Same experience, dry and crusty, bread isn't fluffy. So went back Sunday and food was fresh and fluffy. It seems to be a hit or miss here, I enjoy the food on the weekends. I would recommend another establishment for during the week if food freshness is of concern to you. Prices seem to be higher than other establishments but location is spot on for me. I will be looking for another bakery for my morning breakfast during the week. Super Rude lady. Not flexible at all with the orders. Won’t run cards for small amounts. Wants to overcharge cards to go over HER threshold! Irritating as she aggressively took my receipt after signing. Not graceful at all for the business. It’s sad because my family and I used to go there often. Never again!! Came here for the first time and got an assortment of stuff. Everything was good till i took a bite of a sprinkled donut. It tasted like nail polish or nail polish remover! Tasted just like the smell you get when you walk past a nail salon. Super weird and concerning i even had my bf try it without telling him what i thought and he said the exact same thing.
