Will never return!! Went onto Google reviews to check and see if any other customers had noticed a decline in this place. First, it’s a Sunday night and I have worked in a restaurant all through college, the place was not busy at all and it took too long to receive our food. Also, I’m never inclined to leave a bad review for a restaurant because I have worked in this industry before but my husband and I are home and still so disappointed with the night/experience.

I will preface this also by saying, we were SO excited to treat my mom to this dinner while she was in town and I’m just embarrassed that we chose this place now. The first time we ever came here was amazing, our server was a nice man who explained the way the fish was cooked and was super knowledgeable, we got oysters/cocktails/large entrees/and two deserts. Amazing experience/service and the food was impeccable…

This time… This experience was similar to a Chilis or Outback Steakhouse. Maybe even worse. My add on wedge salad turned out to be $7/8 and it had two cherry tomatoes on it- literally 4 halves of cherry tomatoes cut in half (boy am I mad I didn’t take a photo of that it was comical). Two slivers of red onion and it was the smallest wedge salad I have ever had in my life. The filet had zero seasoning. The spinach looked like it had been sitting ‘dead’ in the kitchen light for about 15 mins before entrees were made and the little garlic bread stick was so sad and worse than a roll I could have purchased at grocery store bakery. There were so many other poor factors about this dinner that I don’t have anymore time to point out but I want management to know this was horrible. Also, I saw the manager walk by a few times and it would have been cool for him to make eye contact or just check in on our table at all… We were right next to the kitchen, the restaurant was dead and he was slowly strolling by quite a few times. Honestly love going out to dinner and spending a good amount but we barely got anything and I still feel robbed. I wanted to get the chocolate cake for desert but my husband said he literally didn’t even want to give the place a dime of more business/purchases so we went to market street for desert instead. I didn’t say anything at the restaurant because I didn’t want the waitress to think it was her fault and I didn’t want to embarrass my mom/our guest. She also was disappointed too I could tell. Will literally never return, unfortunate because the first time was great and we were very excited...

Upon waking in w a reservation, we were told that they’re cleaning tables so we went to bar to wait and get a drink. Not a single employee acknowledged us even as we are sitting at the bar. Not a greeting. Not a water. Nothing. Hostess called us about 10 minutes later so we went to our table. Still nothing from bar staff and there were 3 of them back there. Missed opportunity for them and not a good start. We were sat and our server was very nice and friendly and gave us all the specials and asked for a drink order. Woof. Their Bev program needs some serious work and attention. Not sure what the old fashion was/is but it was so bad my husband didn’t even want another drink. It had this odd taste like it came from a can or something. Was so sweet and odd. Cloudy. Just strange. The summer sangria, not sangria at all, was just basic. Very basic. Not sure if it’s batched but it wasn’t mixed well. Bottom had a pile of syrup while to top was bland and tasteless. Scoops of fruit. The baked oysters were absolutely delicious!! 10! Sauce. Bread. Flavor. Presentation. All of it. We got the mix grill and a house salad. House salad dressing was great and salad was a nice size for the added $4.99. Very fresh. Steak was cooked absolutely to perfection! Seared very nicely but lacked seasoning as did the lobster tail and asparagus. Lobster was cooked well. Easy to pop out of shell. Very plain and basic butter. Smallest lemon wheel for the butter/tail. Maybe two half wheels would’ve been better or at least a wedge. About 5-6 asparagus which again lacked seasoning. But cooked great. Still crunch while soft at top. We aren’t salt eaters but we had to salt everything! Manager walked around and was greeting tables. Our server was very present and attentive. Unfortunately she probably had to tip out the bar staff for lacking at their job. Would I go back, possibly. Probably not soon. Definitely not to the bar. Rubbed me wrong. Greet customers. Place water in front of them if that’s all you can do. Give a nod and a “I’ll be right with you” goes a long way. No excuse to let a customer feel invisible or money to walk away. Do better on your drinks! Not sure if they batch them or don’t know how to make an old fashion but learn if your job is behind the bar. Bev program needs some attention. We are not a “send back” type of people. $24 for two drinks that could be $48+ w multiple drink orders had they been good, was a huge...

I’m a Landry’s select club member but I usually dine at other of the restaurants on the list. I decided to give Landry’s a try since I haven’t been in ages. I now am reminded why. As we walk in the establishment, we enter the lobby and stand around for 3 minutes before the hostess finally turns up and starts to seat us. It was very odd as the hostess saw us the moment we walked in as she was by the door. While she sat us, she handed my wife and friend the menus. But very oddly enough while I stuck my hand out to reach the menu she was passing me she dropped it on the table. Even worse, on my utensils. Very disrespectful and shameful. In all of my years of dining at ANY restaurant I’ve never experienced this. Much less a finer dining one at that. It took the server about 10 mins to finally arrive and then ask what we wanted to drink. After that she was good but then was gone for a while to the point of coming back well after my water had ran out. Without anything to drink I couldn’t eat so that really killed the experience further. Also my wife was never asked if she wanted another drink. The big one was after we were served our food our server never came back to check on us or remove any dish that was done from the table. Actually, she tried to take my wife’s drink while she still had drink in the glass and tried to take my plate in the middle of me eating. That was a huge let down. The calamari was bountiful and the sauce that wasn’t marinara was great. The marinara though was watered down. The calamari itself though was flavorless and salty which was a shame. Maybe the worst I’ve ever had in all honesty. Cocktails though were excellent. Had to ask for the bread and I wasn’t a fan of the hard butter nor was anyone else at the table. Grilled oysters were very excellent. Some of my favorite I’ve had and presentation was perfect. The crab cake was great as well. Mixed grill my wife got was very good as well. We also got a fish that was $48 and the portion size was small, it didn’t taste good, and the side that came was small. My pasta was good. The banana foster was ok but the bread pudding was very good. In all honestly, we know Pappadeaux is the biggest competitor. This experience will not have me back as I’m sure management won’t make a change on all...

From start to finish, our evening at Landry’s was nothing short of outstanding. We had a reservation for a Thursday night and were pleased to find ample parking upon arrival. The staff greeted us warmly and seated us immediately, setting the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was prompt and professional. Our server was both personable and knowledgeable, happily answering our questions and offering helpful recommendations. We started with a round of drinks including a Margarita, wine, Piña Colada, and iced tea. The fried zucchini appetizer was a standout, lightly battered and served with delicious homemade ranch dressing. For our main courses, we enjoyed the redfish, salmon, crawfish étouffée, and chicken pasta. Each dish was flavorful and well-presented. The étouffée had a rich taste without being overly spicy, and the seafood portions were generous. The redfish and salmon were perfectly cooked and paired nicely with rice and vegetables. The chicken pasta was tasty, though the pasta was just slightly overdone. Customer service throughout the evening was exceptional. Our food arrived promptly, and the staff was attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, with well-maintained furniture and spotless table settings. Overall, Landry’s exceeded our expectations. If we could give it 10 out of 5 stars, we would. With an average price of around $40 per person, it offers great value for a high-quality dining experience. Highly recommended.

I ordered what is shown in the photo. With asparagus couscous. It came with mushrooms all over the plate. No asparagus. I told the wonderful bartender, Kurt, that I hated to complain but “I cannot do mushrooms”. He apologized and took the plate. 15 minutes later, he came up to me and asked me if I was a food allergy? I said no. I just can’t eat them. The shift manager was behind us and said what? Really??? Ohhhhhkay. Then when walking back to the kitchen says “I’m just trying to figure out what’s going on here”. Ma’am - the plate was wrong. It’s as simple as that. Another 10 minutes later, she brought the plate back and said “here’s your swordfish with no mushrooms”. No apology. Nothing. Not to mention, there was still a mushroom on the plate. I ate half and was done. Then when Kurt grabbed my plate, I told him he could give the mushroom to his manager. He was great. Once we got the bill, it was clear that she removed it from our ticket then added it back on. It showed the comp then the swordfish quantity was 2. We weren’t looking for a free meal. But her attitude lost a customer for life. I hope it was worth it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ very unprofessional. The fish was bland, as well. Bar serve was fabulous. Kitchen and manager on shift need some work. Just being honest! We won’t be back.
