The Woodlands Waterway Houston Texas. Think of it as a adult Disneyland. It is similar to the Riverwalk in San Antonio but it is new and has high-rise Office Buildings and is very clean. They have boats that give you boat rides $5 you can ride all day. The boats go from one end of the Waterway all the way to the shopping mall. There is valet parking at the shopping mall end. Or you can catch the boats anywhere along the way. There are ducks and turtles in the water. The water is very clean and the sidewalks are very clean. They have nice plants and Gardens all along the water. They have restrooms available along the water but you may have to go into one of the hotels like the Marriott or the Westin or some of the restaurants along the way there glad to accommodate you. Starting in February and Lasting through the summer they have live music concerts summer free and some you pay for at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion. They're usually Saturday night at about 6 to 8. This is a wonderful area it's very romantic and there are lots of sidewalk cafes. There is also the large shopping mall with a large food court. They have several boats that come by they are all the same type and the captains of the boats are very nice it will help you on board. I like the Miss puffy. There is a koi fish Island and you're not supposed to feed the koi fish they have a person that takes care of them so please don't feed them. It is very safe along there there are Park Rangers and Canadian mounties look alikes. The horses and the police seem well-behaved and are there to help you enjoy yourself. There are people riding bikes along the Waterway some on skateboards and others job. They are all polite and they go to the right and you can pass them easily. Definitely bring your camera you will want to take pictures I posted a few pictures here to give you an idea of what it's like. I have been here before and I highly recommend this to anyone. Seems like a good choice to go before or after a concert at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion in Houston. There are lots of sidewalk cafes and also good restaurants in the hotel. Parking can be a bit Limited but if you pay $5 there is lots of parking right near Waterway Avenue or free parking by the shopping mall. There's also valet parking near the sidewalk cafes on Waterway Avenue. The valet parking along Waterway Avenue is excellent my suggestion is you could park there with the valet go in and have a meal and one of the restaurants and then walk to the Cynthia Woods Pavilion for the concert and then after would stroll back and have a dessert and then get the valet to bring your car out very first class operation. I suggest you keep your negative thoughts to yourself. These are mostly oil companies. They go out of their way to keep this area open to the public. It's very Scenic and romantic. The gardens are just wonderful. They definitely show me how nice and Community oriented oil...
Read moreI’ve lived in and around The Woodlands for nearly 20 years, and I can honestly say—there’s no other place on earth I’d rather be. It’s more than just a beautiful area; it’s a lifestyle, a sanctuary, a little slice of heaven tucked into the heart of Texas.
The Waterway, in particular, is the crown jewel of this community. It’s where modern life and nature stroll hand-in-hand. Early morning walks feel like moving through a peaceful painting, while evening runs are met with the soft glow of string lights and the sound of water gently flowing by. Whether you're seeking solitude, romance, or a spot to make memories with friends and family, the Waterway never disappoints.
Looking for fine dining? There’s no shortage of restaurants that impress with every bite. Planning a staycation or need a mini escape? The luxury hotels along the Waterway offer resort-style getaways without ever leaving town. And if you're just in the mood to sit, sip a coffee, and watch the world go by—this is the perfect backdrop.
It has everything. Beauty. Peace. Excitement. Community. After two decades, I’m still discovering new reasons to love it. The Woodlands Waterway isn’t just a destination—it’s part...
Read moreGreat restaurants and bars, keeps getting better with new spots to visit. I'm a big fan of The Gooses Acre, I have been since it opened. Being Australian I had been looking for good Shepards Pie (that I or my mum didn't make, of course) but I couldn't find any, until I tried theirs! They use beef vs. Lamb but it's still really good.
Oh!! and its super kid friendly on Sundays! I believe they eat free until noon. (OR used to.)
When the weather is nice the patio is a good option, soak up the sun, eat, drink and of course...
