Let me start out by saying, Cheesecake Factory has been a family favorite of ours for 8 years. Special occasions, date nights, a quick stop for a delicious cheesecake, etc. Especially when I was pregnant with my first. When I was sick, all I could eat without feeling awful, was avocado egg rolls. It has been a special place. Last night, 6/6/24, my husband planned a surprise birthday dinner for me at cheesecake. My family was there waiting for me to arrive. My husband called two days ahead to see if he could reserve a table for 9. They told him they couldn’t accommodate a reservation unless it was 6 people or less, so he would have to just come in and possibly be on the wait list. Fine, no problem Thursday night comes around, and my SIL arrives to see if they could get a table for 6 adults and 3 children. The hostesses seemed extremely unbothered and said no, you’ll have to go on the wait list. There was a woman manager behind them, brown hair in a ponytail and glasses. My sister asked how long the wait would be, and the hostesses turned to her, and the manager said to my SIL “I have outdoor seating, other than that you’re going to wait.” In a very rude tone. My sister said “Can you give me a time frame for waiting? We tried to make reservations…” and before she could finished the manager snapped at her “I have a restaurant full of people. You’re not the only ones here. You can wait 45 minutes to and hour or you can leave.” I understand wait lists. I’ve been a hostess in a restaurant. I understand stressful times, but it wasn’t like there was a crowd of people waiting in the lobby. There is also a way to speak to customers in a way that is not rude or disrespectful. I am appalled. There was no way that people could sit on part of the waiting booth anyway because the dirty floor mats were folded and on the waiting booth. So we ended up putting them on the ground so others could sit. We waited about 40 minutes and my aunt when to go check on the status, Ana again, short, snippy attitudes were given to her. We finally gave up and went to North Italia across the way. There was no way we were going to pay to be treated that way. There were also a few groups who came in and left due to this behavior.
The best part? We finally got a text that our table was ready an hour and a half AFTER we had left cheesecake.
Sad to say, we most definitely will NOT return until the owner can get rid of the rude manager working last night, as she was setting the tone for the...
Read more02/22/25 around 1pm. My husband and I visited for the first time ever for our wedding anniversary. We had never been to any Cheesecake Factory. The wait was only 15 mins for a table for 2. The server was very stand off-ish and in a hurry. She brought drinks to the table then asked if we were ready to order and we asked for a few minutes since it was our first time. She obliged. We ordered mozerella cheese appetizer and it was great. We did have to ask multiple times for drink refills. Lunch I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich and my husband got the pepperoni flatbrrad pizza. The chicken of the breading was really dark and hard, and the chicken inside was really dry. I asked for ranch to go with the Buffalo and tried to drown the chicken for flavor, but after 3 bites it wasnt doable and gave up. My husband didn't care for the pizza, as it was very greasy and the top layer of pepperonis were burnt and black. I ended picking them off and ate pizza with him. The server come by and asked if we would like a box for the sandwich, to which I said no thanks as it wasnt that great and over cooked. She just said ok and took the plate and tried to take the pizza tray that was half eaten. I asked her to leave the pizza as I was eating the it since the chicken was inedible. She did say she would let the kitchen staff know and remove it from the check. Came back a bit later to get the pizza tray and at the same time she took both empty drinking glasses that my husband had. Asked if we were ready for the check, we said no we wanted to order Cheesecake. Got that ordered, it came out a short time later and was delicious. All the while, my husband sat with no drink since she took his glass about 20 mins prior. Never offered another one. Got the check and paid and left. The server was very impersonable and in a hurry compared to the table right next to us whose waiter laughed and smiled and actually spent more than 30 seconds at the table. Not a great first impression or...
Read moreWe always come here and usually have little to no issues but today was totally off. I went in and let them know we needed a table for 6, 4 adults and 2 kids. There was a small 10 to 15 minute wait and when they brought us back the brought us to a 4 person booth. We tried to squeeze in because luckily one of the kids is in a stroller. I asked the lady who sat us if we could get a bigger table and her response was that we would have to go back up front and get back on the wait list. I asked why and she said because we were only put in for 4 people. I let her know when I came in I said word for word, 6 people, 4 adults, 2 kids. And she just repeated insistently would have to get back on the wait list. I asked if we could ask someone else and she said hold on and walked off before coming back and saying we found another spot and seated us in the larger booth. I hate being that person but I genuinely told them 6 people and there was no way we would be able to eat with 2 or us plus a kid on the small bench. It just really bothered me when the host got upset and insisted we get back on wait list. Like I understand sometimes people will just say 4 people even if they have kids with them but I counted the kids when we came up. I just wanted to be sure we got kids menus. It just felt like we were being blamed for a small error, not even on our end. Anyways we didn't want that to ruin the lunch so we just moved on. Server was very nice but at the end I put my card in the receipt book with my number at the bottom to redeem by birthday cheescake. However when I got my receipts back nothing was taken off and my number did not even look like it was used. :( I didn't want to say anything while we were there as we had been out with family and I didn't want to ruin the evening. Things are normally pretty good here but this definitely felt like one of the worst experiences at a...
