Rico Pollo — Restaurant in Thornton

Went for the first time today since I was in the area. Limited menu, which isn't always a bad thing. Honestly when I see a limited menu I expect them to excel at whatever the items are. I bought the flautas and the smothered burrito. The burrito is not advertised as spicy, but it packs a punch. So much so that for most people it would probably be inedible. Got through half before I have up, leaves a lot to be desired. The flautas: texturally, they're amazing! Nice crunch to them. Unfortunately they chicken was not well seasoned, requiring you to use the salsa they include. Not terrible but still I'd like a little salt. I ordered the extra side of rice and beans with the flautas. Again, lackluster in seasoning, good value as far as price goes. Overall, too many small issues for this to be a go-to spot of mine. Probably won't be back as there are better options...

I went to get a whole chicken from Rico Pollo on this location (1-30-24) The cashier lady gave me a vibrator thing so when my order was ready I can pick up. I get my order then opened the container to see if everything look good. I noticed that the wings were missing which I asked the girl who hand me the chicken about the wings, she then called the cook to which I asked the same question! He just responded WE DONT INCLUDE THE WINGS!!! Then I asked why? Shouldn’t the wings be included since I’m paying for a whole chicken? He kinda got upset, then reply saying IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT COME!!! I kept my self cool but when customer service is not the best and on top of that he was rude.

I just laughed and said: you guys are rip offs by doing this.

Never going back to this place...

I've been to this place twice...shame on me. Thought I give it a second chance. Nothing wrong with the food but they really have to get rid of that lady at the cashier. What's up with the attitude?! Turns away when she talks, tells you they close at 9 when it's only 8:20... lol. When you ask a question she simply replies "yes"..."no"... come on, make an effort! I never leave review with bad experiences but like I said, this wasn't my first experience. This definitely deserves a bad review. Take it from a person that owns several businesses and knows all about...
