We went in for breakfast and ordered the Blueberry pancakes and Breakfast tostadas. The description for the tostadas said that there were two crispy tortillas with eggs, avocado, Ect. When the order arrived we did get 2 crispy tostadas but they were stacked on top of one another and then there was one egg, some avocado slices and a tone of green leaf lettuce. Not at all what we were expecting. The rice was seriously over cooked and flavorless and the beans had no flavor at all. When we bit into the tostada it tasted horrible. I don’t know if this is the case, but it tasted like the oil they used to fry the tostada was old and it tasted spoiled. We let the server know and she apologized and asked if we just wanted soft tortillas. We declined and then tried to take another bite but we could not eat it, it was so bad. We told the server we didn’t like it and she took the uneaten plate (less the two bites) and came back and said she would comp us the coffee. The blueberry pancakes were fine. They lacked flavor but other wise were standard diner pancakes. The scrambled eggs were not edible though. I took a bite and could not finish them because they also tasted very off. The bacon also had a really weird after taste. When we went to counter to pay and the hostess asked us how everything was, We told her about the tostadas and she apologized and still charged us for everything. I will say, the servers were very kind, however I don’t feel like the situation was handled very well. I could understand them still charging us if we had eaten the dishes we were unhappy with but they took back a completely full plate of tostadas and I feel it would have been better customer service not to charge for something that we didn’t eat. We will not be returning to...
Read moreWe arrived before the couple we were meeting so I sat on the bench to wait. There was a big spider above me where the wall and ceiling meet. I suggested to an employee that they remove it. It was still there almost 2 hours later when we left. Most of the tables were dirty, but that could be because we arrived about 7:15 pm, after the main dinner rush.
They wiped off our table, but when they we arrived the grease and dirt was still visible. I asked them to wipe it off again, and still the table was sticky. Then I took the rag and wiped it myself with a little pressure to get it clean. The caulking under the tiles under the windows was cracked and the tiles were lifting up. The place really needs some attention there was also a dead fly laying on the back of the bench against the wall.
Though the place was not that busy, our server messed up on our orders, forgetting my biscuit until I had almost eaten my full meal. She was not attentive to drink refills either. I overheard her telling the table next to us that she was out of the alcohol they wanted and that she never knew what they would have at any particular time, even for the common drinks.
The stroganoff, which was one of the specials had good flavor. The coleslaw, which was delayed in coming to our table, tasted good. The vegetables that accompanied the teriyaki steak were wonderful! The waitress said they had chives for my baked potato, but the sour cream and chives didn't arrive with the potato. When they did arrive, it turned out to be green onions! They should have offered me the green onions and told me they didn't have chives. In their defense, the green onions were fresh and tasted great with the sour cream...

First, the service. We were immediately warmly greeted and seated. I didn't see a name tag, but our server was a lovely young lady who used to live in Arizona (where we were visiting from). She was super friendly!
Next, you may have heard the saying "Oh, they've got the GOOD ice!"... They do! It's even smaller than the pebble ice used at Sonic and Circle K, and was wonderful. Some people will wonder why this matters, but others will get it! 😁
I got the chicken sandwich, he got the super burrito, and we got a root beer freeze to split. What's a root beer freeze, you ask? It's a root beer float, blended! 😋 I'm pretty sure the whipped cream on top was freshly made. Our server told us that they make the vast majority of things fresh in house, and you can definitely tell!
The super burrito was, indeed, super! It came with some kind of corn mush that was an incredible touch to have a little bit of that with each bite! We both forgot it comes with chips and dip, so that was a lovely surprise!
My chicken sandwich (with fries) was delicious - TIP: get it with ranch! Their ranch is fresh-made in-house and it's delicious, especially with the ranch (which also makes a fantastic dip for their fries).
All in all, I'm not sure I'll ever be passing through this part of Portland again, but if I ever do, best believe I'll be eating here again! So if you ARE on the area looking for a good, simple, affordable, casual, yummy place to eat, let me save you the looking around...
