Very VERY good food!! We had the family feast #1 with 1 lbs crab legs, 1 lbs shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. We chose garlic butter and no spicy flavoring. Will definitely come back again!!
Plenty of alcoholic drinks options to choose from.
Family feasts options were available, I believe there were four options to choose from going up in price. Cheapest family feast was $44 and most expensive was $120 I believe. The $44 was perfect for two people. Not sure about the others. Childs menu was available. A non-seafood menu available and single dinner options along with add ons. They also have daily specials.
I do suggest wearing the gloves they provide to eat as it is VERY VERY messy. You are provided with a bib, gloves, plenty of wipes, a bucket for garbage, seafood shells, corn cobs, etc. If you’re messy or have a young one wear that bib as I’m sure that stuff stains.
Our waitress was exceptional. I wish I could remember her name. She said she has a sister and the sister’s best friend that worked there so maybe that will help owner identify her. She definitely deserves recognition. There was a problem that I won’t mention but was fixed immediately and we were given $20 worth of coupons for our next visit.
I was a little put off by the “pay before food arrives” policy. But after speaking with another customer and our waitress I understood why they needed to do this. It’s the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that requires this but apparently there are a lot of trashy people in Toledo who dine and dash at the place. People pay your bills!!
Cincy Crab is exceptional and you have to try it!!!!
And we forgot to take photos of food! Ugh. Next time!
Oh I will mention the 4 stars for atmosphere. It was very chilly in there. So much so we wore our heavy winter coats until right before food arrived. The other thing was there was a table sitting out with supplies I felt could have been in a better inconspicuous spot. It is an old Frisch’s restaurant so keep that in mind - I just think the dynamics of the restaurant could be better. They have updated the tables, booths and such. The wall and ceiling had pretty neat things hanging. I did take a photo of one...
Read moreThe only reason this restaurant is getting two stars is because the staff, the waitress, was wonderful. The food however, something she has nothing to do with, in my personal opinion was incredibly disappointing. The snow crab was incredibly thin. Even the thickest parts of the snow crab legs were almost too thin to be able to get meat out of. It didn't really have a whole lot of flavor either and they completely drenched it in the garlic butter and it was almost impossible to handle just to open. They also do not provide a thin tined fork or any other means to split it than a cracker. I am not a world-class connoisseur of snow crab legs but I have had a good enough share to know that these were incredibly disappointing. I got the sense that the person at the table that ordered the fried catfish enjoyed that greatly and the pomegranate mojito was nice. But we will not be returning unless someone else requests are presents specifically at this restaurant. Stay safe, make sure you tell your loved ones that they're important to you. And look somewhere else if you're looking for...
Read moreI've tried about four (4) seafood boil places in the Toledo area now and this place is the worst. I order the 1/2-lb shrimp, 1/2-lb crab with potato and corn; medium and all the sauces. The shrimp was discolored, overcooked and had a rubbery texture. They also weren't thoroughly cleaned. Some extra time and care could have been taken. The crab legs were tiny and also tasted overcooked. For the money, they could afford to add 1 more potato. I could barely find the one they added. The corn literally was not cooked. It was a big hunk of raw corn. I ordered the boil medium heat - none. I ordered all the spices - no flavor. I will not be returning. I'd eat a bologna sandwich before...
