Upon first glance it seemed to be moderately busy, but even extreme pessimism couldn’t have prepared me for the misadventure I was about to experience. We entered, waiting for no more than 20 seconds in a line with merely one customer in front of us, causing us, as anyone would rationally, to anticipate quick service, or at the absolute worst, a brief wait. Regardless, we all expected it to be worthwhile as this establishment has been talked up as the pinnacle of “wings”, since the initial announcement of a location in Topeka. However, we were extremely unpleasantly shocked by not only the sheer duration of our wait, despite their moderate to low productivity at this time, but the poor, obloquy of a box of wings we were forced to throw 45 precious minutes of our time for a mere 2 orders. The effort was egregiously poor, the majority of their staff was on break, and despite this, they were apparently not capable of producing wings efficiently or well. They could not compensate for their poor speed, they in fact worsened it, the wings were frigid, the fries were the temperature of liquid nitrogen, and overseasoned to the point to where those who consumed would immediately feel the sensation of dehydration comparable to a Ugandan child. The sauce was runny, and bland, on top of poultry that tasted of starving chicken. The chicken texture was comparable to a Peruvian pigeon dish. Never again will I be attending this joke of a restaurant. They put a stain on the reputation of all chicken places, and never again will I be able to recover from the mental and physical damage and trauma imposed on me by the sheer poor work by their staff. Read moreDon't bother getting it delivered. The orders disappear cause doordash is what they use regardless how you order (wingstop online or on the wingstop app) and they have to go back through doordash to get any resolution. Hope you have time to wait for that cause they tell you call DD, DD says call Wingstop, and back an forth you get sent when you didn't even order through DD. 3-5 days to get your refund i was finally told by the store.
If you do pick up... check your bags cause they never put the ranch in regardless if you pay for it. And check your boxes to make sure the order is right before you leave the store. 2 orders of Voodoo fries should look exactly the same.
Update on no refund, 10 days after the order failure. Had to reach out to corporate again and was told again I needed to go through DD. Called DD (whom i didn't even order through) for them to tall me they processed the refund to the store the day of the order and that I needed to get back with the store. DD finally then transfers me to corporate who claims they process a refund, only to charge me again. AGAIN.
Reach out again to corporate the next day, after a circus with the bank, and have to talk to DD again to get sent back to Corporate who is "so sorry that happen" and sends me contact to district or regional or whoever. Charged $87.76 twice. Still no refund.
So yea. Don't use the app. Don't use the website. Don't use delivery. Just go in and order... and wait 45 minutes for your order...
