It is always a different experience at 99 in Torrington. I've had many five-star days and I've also had some not so good experiences. I am rating this review on my last visit a Saturday night around 8 pm. Usually you have to wait but this night when I arrived I was seated right away in the bar section which was nice not to have to wait. My waitress didn't show up at my table for about 15 minutes and when she did she apologized for forgetting me because I was the only one seated in the bar booths and the main floor was very busy. I ordered my dinner and my drink which I had to wait for her to get other people their drinks before she delivered mine. She brought out my salad and i then reminded her that i had no silverware, again an apology. My dinner came out I had the smothered tips everything was delicious including the soup and salad and cooked to the way I like it so I give the meal of five star rating. I had to ask for a refill on my soda and it was brought to me right away. Honestly there's waitresses that work there that will have a drink sitting there in front of you before you finish the one you have. Oh I drink ice tea by the way, Free Refills ya no.lol so this is why I rated this visit three stars the meal was delicious, but the service could have been a little better. I LOVE 99 Restaurants. However, this location is the complete reason that they are closing locations all over. The bar, entry and bathrooms were a mess. The bartender took a break for a cigarette while there were customers waiting at the bar. Food took forever to come and when it did it was wrong. The amount of stuff piled on coolers behind the bar and dirty dishes on the floor behind the bar can be seen by patrons not making for a good experience. A couple that came in right after us not only waited without a hello for 10 minutes but were not offered drinks, once they got their drinks and placed their order they waited 15more minutes while we were eating b fore ASKING for popcorn. After finishing our meal we placed an additional meal to go for family that were at home ill. We received our meals to go after a few hints to the bartender that we were still waiting.. we got our Togo while the couple was still waiting for their appetizers..and had not had any attention from the bartender or wait staff. The filth and clutter alone will be the reason we do not come back to...

My dog would not eat the food that was left on my sidewalk. Thank you 99 thank you DoorDash. Just because the image is AI generated does not make it any less disgusting in a $50 loss for my birthday thank you thank you 99 thank you DoorDash.
