Left a bit frustrated today.
I came here specifically for apple watch bands to buy for the holiday season since they go for more than 50% off from MSRP, and now I have no other choice but to drive out to other locations (approx 30-45 min drive) to “gamble” if they have any in stock.
Whoever’s idea it was to put Official Apple products in the clearance men’s clothing section needs to reevaluate the list of popular products most commonly stolen. It’s nothing but empty boxes now because people keep stealing them. This has been going on for several months as I’m a regular customer and noticed the consistency.
If anything, hang them within the checkout section and turn the phone case display around to force possible thieves to walk into the tunnel in order to get their targeted products.
On a side note, I’m glad to now see a K-9 unit walking around the plaza though. That earns the 2/5 stars.
As for everything else, they have fairly good clothing options, but they really need to up the variety of brands. In sports wear, it’s nothing but RBX, Hurley, Adidas, Kenneth Cole, and Champion. Its pretty obvious that those brands dont sell well as they overwhelm the clearance section by an absurdly large margin. Other locations have the big names as a common product such as Nike and UnderArmor.
I managed to get a nice Nike pair for $20 when they usually go for $100+, but that took several weeks of checking occasionally and managing to find only one pair that just so happen...
Read moreThis is more like constructive criticism, tonight I spent over an hour picking up stuff before a business trip. I was happy to find the items I needed, just to find out I couldn’t use a store credit I got from items that didn’t fit me. I guess only the person that returns the stuff can use the card, even if you have a license with the same last name. (I had just purchased stuff at Marshall’s in Avon with the same card) I asked to speak to a manager, offered to provide the original receipt . The employee wouldn’t even try. I usually send my husband to exchange things, since he has more flexibility at his job. #1 the store lost the money, #2 I’m so upset I don’t think I’ll be shopping there anymore, #3 who would come up with the most ridiculous policy on earth? #4 That’s why Amazon is putting everyone out of business! No stress, no arguments, no waste of time, free shipping for exchanges or refunds, etc… I try to shop locally but wow! It’s really hard to do business around here. How about some common sense while implementing policies??? To me this is absolutely irrational. It’s a shame how most businesses (not all) don’t care about LOSING...
Read moreThis one is a hard one to review. The place is in the desperate need of a remodel. It's in downtown Torrington and looks like it. If you're from the area you know what I mean. But TJ Maxx is such an amazing store with amazing deals isn't it always feels out of place. I go all the time, but it always strikes me as rather odd that's where it is. It's just funny to me that if it was up near Target store would look a lot different. Don't be fooled by its location there are deals to be found if you catch them in time. A lot of locals that seems likes to ruin the makeup. Leaping basic steps to attempt to stop this, especially if you check everything that made it to clearance it's a mess. There are a lot of great deals and I love the store, I just wish it would get a bit of an upgrade on the inside at least. If I'm buying clothes I always...
