i have to say this.. cause if i don't i don't think any one actually will the service here was very warm welcoming that's the pros now for the cons 1.the picture below is what i got from a take out order this is what they called a "chicken enchilada" with beans and Spanish rice now i don't know where in Mexico or any Latin based country you'd even call that a "enchilada" but that's NOT one see correct me if i am wrong but a enchilada has orange cheese (mostly cheddar Mexican blend or at minimum Colby jack cheese) this had what appears to be mozzarella has no sauce on it (they normally come with a chipotle sauce and Mexican crème or at least sour cream nope none of that ,the tortilla was raw....YES raw and the chicken had no flavor added at all like NO spices like boiled chicken that was shredded then simply thrown into a tortilla shell with microwaved mozzarella cheese
2.the rice was ....not good...if your going to call that Spanish rice THEN MAKE IT TASTE LIKE IT when i say this was flavorless this is not far at all from the truth ,may i suggest some cummin, chili powder some onions belle peppers and some cayenne to kick it up a little at least
3.last but not least ...lets talk about the beans....as you can see from the provided picture? if the saying goes" you eat with your eyes first? well....yeah kinda dont wanna eat that. BUT I TRIED IT and have to say it wasnt as bad as it looks but again if your gonna call that beans? then at least make it taste like beans i mean its bad enough that it looks that bad at least make it taste good maybe add some salt pepper garlic chipoltle pepper (smoked to ADD A LITTLE FLAVOUR ) minced onions...
Read moreAlways excited when a new family owned spot opens up, been waiting to try Speedy Tacos for a few months now. Obviously checked out the reviews before hand and they were a bit polarizing, so I assumed there were a bunch of hard to please haters leaving comments. Unfortunately they were not haters. Tried a burrito, a few types of tacos, chicharrones, and salchipapa. The positives; the meat was plentiful in the tacos, the tortillas were fresh and good. Chicharron is one of my favorite food on the planet and my god was I disappointed. I’ve never had it not fried to order, and the reason for frying it to order is obvious. It was sitting in a warmer and yet managed to be cold and was the driest, most disappointing fried meat that I’ve ever had. Essentially inedible, even the fat was dried out. It was like 4 stages of jerky in one cut of meat. The fries in the salchipapa were undercooked, floppy and not seasoned. It was like they were steamed fries. The selections vacillated between not seasoned and overly salty while simultaneously not having any flavor at all. The verde sauce was an extremely watery consistency and again lacking in flavor. All in all will not be back, makes me sad as I can’t see this formula working long term and I’m sure this was a long time dream,...
