Went Friday night. Not so good an experience. The staff were totally overwhelmed. Ordered appys and 1 bowl. First came out the chicharrone with guac. They also brought a dish with salsa, guac and chips too. I asked the woman buzzing around if the dish was complementary and she said no. My husband said he ate a chip off of it. She took it away and gave it to another table behind us. That's a big no... The chips were very stale with our dish. After finishing our appy another person came around and asked if we ordered. We said yes. After waiting for a long time, they came back around and said our order was never taken. We put it in again. My husband got a different protein in his bowl from what he ordered. The side tortillas were also stale. The empanadas reminded me of frozen ones with hardy any of the sauces drizzled and no tomato as pictured on the menu. We never got our other appy. Watched a table get seated and no one ever came back to take their order. After 1/2 hr or longer they walked out. Also another table I know also walked out after waiting a long time too. Being close to the bar I kept on hearing how backed up the kitchen was. Asked for a check multiple times and it never came. Finally one of the wait staff said the meal was on the house. We tipped him generously.
It's great we have another new restaurant in town. The place was nicely down and had a good vibe. Whomever owns this place needs to have a talk with their staff and maybe hire more for the weekends. The menu had many choices but if they can't run it properly it will be their downfall and I would hate to see that happen so come on La Casa de los Huesos step up and talk to your staff and figure ii out. We do plan on going back and trying again in a while. Hopefully by then all the kinks will...
Read moreSuch a fun new spot in downtown Torrington. So far we enjoyed the house made guac/salsa/chips, calamari (yeah there are a few surprises), sopa Azteca, fish tacos, churros and, oh man, that ice cream sandwich is unbelievable. And let's not forget about the margaritas - panta rosa and spicy cucumber slipped down very nicely. Super welcoming space with an awesome mural by a local artist. We'll...
Read moreSuch a great addition to Torrington! Beautiful decor, delicious food. The chicharrones guacamole was incredible. Al pastor was tender and moist, house made salsa rojo, verde and habanero were fireeee! We aren’t drinkers so I can’t advise on that, but the lemonade was one of the best I’ve had. Will definitely be back! Great job guys and many years of success to...
