Maisie said the service was average, but the drink was delicious! Introducing the 🍂 Pawtumn Cider Spritz, for your pup: 🍎a few slices of an apple (no skin) 🍠 1/3 cup of cooked Butternut Squash 🦴 1/4 cup of Bone Broth (no onions, garlic, or salt) 💧 Water 🧊 Ice & Blend! We garnished Maisie’s glass with freeze-dried Beef Organ Round shake! 🐶🥂 Cheers to another satisfied pupstomer! Special s/o to Maisie & Julie, our special guests this week! 👏❤️ - - - #omaspridepetfood #dogsofinstagram #trending #viral #reels #bar #dogbar #explore #mocktail #mocktails #rescuedog #doglover #funnydog #bartender #bartenderlife #diydogtreats #diyideas #dogdrinking

I’m so confused. There we are, driving through Torrington on our way to NY…we’re hungry. I quickly check Google maps for the closest non-fast food restaurant near us. Whatever, we’ll go to this little bar. Walk in, my expectations are low because I’m hungry, cynical, and clinically depressed. Everyone looks like they’re having a great time, so maybe the drinks are strong at least. This dude takes our drink order - he’s full of life and good energy. Now…this man comes back with my espresso martini. I go “Okrrrr!” or whatever, to express that I’m impressed. It’s beautiful. He gave me the extra on the side too! Then the mozz sticks come out…is this a fever dream? Too much Benadryl? I thought I was at some bar, not a fancy…place! If that wasn’t enough…my dang beet salad comes out. Clearly I’m being punk’d. Kitchen staff is using, like…plating circles?? HOW IS EVERYTHING SO PRETTY AND TASTY. I lived in Torrington years ago, practically across the street…what is this? Who are you? Why isn’t there a location in Manchester yet? Is there any good reason why everywhere else can’t put in even half the amount of effort that this beautiful haven of love and food did? No, there’s no good reason. So it looks like you (we) are going to have to leave it to Sawyer’s, and keep coming back.

I want to start off by saying this was my first experience at this bar/restaurant and has become the best experience ive ever had while eating out. To begin with, the vibe as soon as you walk in gives off homey, clean and comfortable, and doesn’t initially feel like you’re walking into a bar. we were greeted immediately upon entering and took our seats. Kyle was our bartender/waiter and to say he went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for us is an understatement. The drinks he made were both visually pleasing and delicious, the food was fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere was pleasant. We ordered an appetizer and they did not have enough of the specific item in stock so they made what they could and Kyle so kindly took it off our bill. At the end of the night before we left, Kyle also offered a green tea shot on the house! I am so beyond excited to go back and try the other delicious looking dishes the have to offer! if i could give more than 5 stars, i absolutely would! P.S Kyle deserves a raise!

My Husband and our friend went to the Mark Normand show and were originally supposed to head to Sasso’s, but didn’t even think to make a reservation and couldn’t dine there due to the shows taking place. We ended up coming across Sawyer’s and upon entering was thinking it would be a pretty subpar experience. Figured we would just get a drink and then head somewhere else but ended up just settling in.

Do not be fooled by appearance (not that it was awful, I LOVED the bathroom! It just looks like your “typical bar”) the food was SO good - I have a thing for crispy wings and these babies were crisped to perfection. To top it off, Kyle our server was so welcoming and friendly!

Lastly, I don’t drink alcohol and have a thing for finishing off a dinner out with an espresso and did not expect Sawyer’s to have that and they did!

Great spot, great food and...
