The bagels aren’t exactly like NJ/NYC bagels, but they are still good and probably the closest bagels to them in upstate NY. The pastries and coffees are very good. The pastries are something that many NJ/NYC bagel places don’t offer. I tried a matcha that was a special and it was delicious, tasted like fruity pebbles, I never had anything like it before. However, it is pretty pricey. I also think the walk up window is a great concept and very efficient.
The brunch place is ok. The food was good, but very pricey. Especially considering some things you could get next store at a lower price. That was kind of bizarre to me. I thought the cocktails were very good and reasonably priced. However, I don’t like how the brunch opens a half hour later than the walk up window. They should open at the same time, especially since I couldn’t find any information on when it’s open online. One would naturally assume it’s the same as the walk up window. I was annoyed how I had to stand outside and wait a half hour.
I thought the pizza was just ok, nothing special, but a little salty. We ordered mozzarella sticks with our pizza, and as we were leaving when picking it up we noticed that they were missing but were charged for them. We asked where our mozz sticks were and they said that they ran out, which is interesting. But they decided to give us some garlic knots instead, which was appreciated.
Overall, I enjoy going to Bear’s Cup Bakehouse when I am in Bolton. The pastries and coffees are real strong points. It’s a great addition to the community and can possibly be even better by ironing out...
Read moreWe have been there a couple of times. Always AMAZING food but the owner was extremely rude to us and her employees. We called first to place the order and she snapped at us because we weren’t aware that we couldn’t order through the phone. When we finally got there to place an order at bears cup, the owner was snappy again but to the poor girl taking our order. One we are there for a vacation and giving you business. Two the girl was doing her job and handling the line extremely well. We felt very uncomfortable as well as others waiting on the line. We also got what was on the menu, so it was simple and not a complicated order. It was pretty expensive, almost twice the price as a nyc for a bacon egg and cheese. Generally we wouldn’t care about the price because we love to support local businesses, but we don’t support rudeness and bullying.
To your response: I appreciate your feedback but it was not only me that was horrified by the way the she treated the employees and customers. People even left at that point. Please just be mindful of how you speak and interact with people. Everyone deserves respect no matter how busy the situation is. Also they should be grateful for the business they have, as many businesses are struggling. Based on the rude response I will have to put down another star. Unfortunate, because the food...
Read moreBears Cup is our favorite spot in Bolton Landing!!!! We live in Saratoga Springs and always take advantage of the home deliveries when they offer it to our community. We’ve also stop into their shop every time we go to the lake. The pastries and bagels are out of this world. Literally Insane! I can’t begin to describe how truly amazing the quality of their product really is….but what I can describe is Dani and Louis. They have not only done several home deliveries for our family but they have also catered our Gender Reveal party for our second born baby. They always surprise us with extra treats too! My son gets so excited when we get the chocolate croissants and has become obsessed with them. He won’t eat them from anywhere else. He thinks Louis is a famous baker. A highlight of my son’s life is when Louis took the time to show my son how the chocolate croissants were made. Even let him roll one up!!! Louis became my son’s hero that day! Louis and Dani are stand up people with a true talent for business, marketing, and surely baking! You can’t go to Bolton without stopping by Bears Cup! You will never regret it! You will, however, regret not buying the extra pastries...
