This restaurant that operates on handshake agreements did an amazing job catering our wedding. When we met with Connie for the first time we knew she would be perfect for our wedding. Connie was very helpful with menu ideas and options during the early planning stages. Her confidence and calm demeanor allowed us not to worry a single minute about the food on our big day. They let us customize our wedding menu and hors d'oeuvres to make a non-traditional personalized wedding menu full of our favorite foods. Not only was the food amazing, the dessert buffet they provided was the talk of the party. The service provided was phenomenal! Once we arrived to the reception we were greeted by the staff with a plate of the hors d'oeurves and they also ensured that we went up to the buffet first! They also did the cake cutting and serving which was included in the price. The cost was very affordable especially since we were on a very tight wedding budget. The bartender we hired through Frederick's Restaurant did an excellent job and ensured that no one left the wedding thirsty. The cleanup from the Frederick's staff went so well that you couldn't even tell there was any food served during the event. They packaged all the leftovers for us and placed them in the refrigerators for us to enjoy later that night. The staff and service provided exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend Frederick's Restaurant- whether your just grabbing a quick bite in town or for your...
Read moreMe, My husband, and 19 month old daughter came up for Americade weekend and thought we would try it here for dinner having a boat in lake George we had never eaten here. Was sat in the dining room inside. There was only one server in the dining room and had 8 tables at one time while we were there. As a restaurant in a tourist area, I feel there should have been more than one server. I’m not sure if they were short staffed (again, being in a tourist town on one of the busiest weekends they should be a little more prepared for this) or if the server thought she could handle it alone and wanted to make more money by taking as many tables as possible. The server probably would have made more money if she focused on the quality of service over quantity of tables she could take. Our food took way too long and with having a toddler I feel restaurants should be a little more attentive to this. Every time we tried to get her attention she would rush right by our table. Never checking on us or the food at all. Where was her help? The owner or manager to check on their dining room? We had to wave her down to ask for our check. Not a good experience. I’m so over going out to eat in a tourist town regardless of if it’s seasonal or not the experience should...
Read moreThe hostess clearly had an issue with our party. When we approached her she condescendingly asked if everyone was here and to count how many people are with us before she starts setting up the tables. As a manager myself, I would not tolerate ANY of employees speaking to a paying customer in that manner. It is not that difficult to accommodate any group that appears to your restaurant and if I miscount, it should not be an inconvenience to add an extra chair. After all, the restaurant was only occupied by 2 other small parties. The waiter, Joshua was visibly flustered attempting to take our orders. He verbally expressed his frustration when we asked for separate bills for the party. He said, “I’ll do my best with all 20 of you guys.” Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how big the party is, it is your job and due diligence to accommodate your customer. One of our items was brought to us incorrectly and Joshua immediately shrugged his shoulders and swung his hand around. In other words, he was annoyed, and once again expressed he was flustered. In a business where you rely on customer service, you shouldn’t pick and choose who to accommodate. Terrible, uncomfortable, and disgusting experience from start to...
