On vacation and came here for family dinner last night. It did not disappoint! We ordered so much that I can't remember it all, but I know we did the scallion pancake appetizer. They tasted great and the sauce was good, just a tad too greasy for my taste. For the table we also had the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (which I didn't try because I don't like mayo or Tuna), but the table LOVED! For entrees, I did the Dancing Eel Roll (eel, avocado, and shrimp tempura) and it was INCREDIBLE! No lie, I'm not a huge eel fan, and I couldn't get enough. A few people ordered the California Roll, the Valentine roll, etc and my husband did the Curry Massaman. Our drinks of choice were the sangria and lychee martinis. The sangria was pretty bland and lacked flavor, and the martini was super sweet, so I would have preferred both to be more middle of the road. For dessert, the kids had the strawberry and chocolate fried ice creams, as the adults were beyond full. Overall, we were all very pleased with their food and the server was very attentive. I'm pretty sure he was the only one on the floor, but you wouldn't have known. Also, the restaurant was pretty chill, considering most of the noise came from our table (3 children and an infant), but we survived! Will...

Came here for the first time with my son for lunch last week. The restaurant itself is super cute and has great atmosphere! My son ordered the chicken bento box and I ordered two rolls from the lunch special. Soups and salads were great as was the chicken. The rolls however had a very weird taste ( almost a chemical taste) so we didn’t eat that and told the waitress immediately. She immediately got defensive and told us there’s no way because everything was fresh. She refused to take it off my bill, argued with me for over five minutes and then hounded me for a tip. So much for trying a new place!

Update: as you can see this business is extremely unprofessional. I dined with my 13 year old son who also refused to eat his sushi because of the funny taste. We are avid sushi eaters and know when to not eat it in fear of getting sick. Nothing was taken off the bill.... this business should be ashamed...

We have been here for sushi multiple times and absolutely love it. The fish is fresh and top quality. We are picky sushi eaters and love the menu here. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The service is amazing. We decided to have my husband’s 60th Birthday there with 15 people ! We drove to Mt Sinai from the Hamptons on Labor Day Weekend to avoid the crowds to celebrate his Birthday at this wonderful restaurant and had the most beautiful evening. Everyone was delighted with their meals whether they ordered sushi or kitchen entrees. The staff brought out beautiful desserts with candles. It was a special evening enjoyed by everyone who came. Don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s located in a small strip shopping center and has a modest facade. You will not be disappointed! They have gluten free soy sauce and gluten free options as well as alpha gal allergy safe...

Decided to try out this newly open Japanese and Asian Fusion featured in Newsday in Mt Sinai with our family. We were greeted by by lovely management and the server team. The decoration and setup was extremely impressive, we can see the details and passion that was put into Hakkaido restaurant. The food was amazing, very fresh and beautifully presentable. (Especially the sashimi platter). Food was very reasonably priced and prepared. Was greeted by the management team few times to ensure our food and service was good. Manager explained the core value of their restaurant and their passion to the new location. Will definitely make this a regular and heading back to try everything on the menu.

recently had dinner at Hokkaido sushi and Asian fusion, it turned out to be one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in a long time. While their sashimi and nigiri were incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, what really took me by surprise was how exceptional their sushi rolls were—both in taste and creativity. The sashimi was outstanding. Each slice was thick, expertly cut, and incredibly fresh
