Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Waited a few weeks for the kinks and learning curve of a new store to work themselves out before trying it. The place was clean and the showcase was full (contrary to what some think, in the deli/sandwich shop business, that's a good sign). I’m not a fan of cold heros, so I chose the chipotle cheese steak. After being shown the hero sizes, I chose the large size because for a man the regular size is a joke (I’m 6’-1” with a good appetite but not a fat slob). The large was filling and typical for a glorified fast food joint and was nothing more than ok. But I have a hard time with the price. 14.95 plus tax is just too much for a chain-store hero. You can go to a local deli and get a full-sized hero that you need both hands to eat for $10. Just as a comparison, you can also get a Sonny’s Famous cheese steak in Philly which is overflowing and awesome for 10 bucks. This hero was long, thin and neat and looked manufactured. The sandwich only (no drink or chips) came out to $16.26. I can’t justify it because it wasn't anything more than ok. The staff was nice but I think the prices will drive some away. For the same money you can get more elsewhere. LI has no shortage of places to get a better...

So today I went to this Jersey Mikes in Pt Jef to get sandwiches for our flight back to Florida. I had accumulated shore points and decided to use some today except that when check out time came they’re system wasn’t able to use the points because apparently I had a security code ( that I never knew I had) and without me entering the code it wasn’t happening. So after a few attempts Laura the owner/mgr told me they would be on the house ! I offered to pay but she insisted on comping me. I left my phone number so if they figured out the problem I would come back and they could take my points. A little later Danny called me and told me how to fix it on the app and it worked. It removed whatever code there was. I just want to thank Laura and Danny for going above and beyond to make me happy and I also want to thank Tori and Sam for making 2 great sandwiches!! Went in here and spend 25 dollars on two heros, chips and 2 drinks. My super sub Italian favorites the girl only put ham and provolone cheese, hello missing two other cold cuts there so I missed out on a complete hero and the toppings were fine. The girl was very unhappy and saying she was tired and not very friendly to serving me and my dad. I didn't even get a bag to carrying all the things out with one right arm bc I came out of dialysis so Im limited. This place is horrible with customer service and greeting. One person and then when more people were coming in then they all come out from the back. Smh horrible. Where is teamwork anymore and training ethical ways.
