Chips and salsa: Chips were white corn tortillas and thinner. The chips were served warm but no salt. The salsa was served in two bowls (same salsa). The salsa was good. It had a unique flavor. To me it almost tasted like tequila was added to it - 3
Lime Margartia on the Rocks: It taste like a Beer-Rita and had a ton of salt on the rim and in the glass. - 2
Steak Taco: Flavor: 1 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 2
This was a horrible taco. The meat tasted boiled and had zero flavor. The taco was LOADED with cilantro and the onions were STRONG and cut in large pieces. The tortilla shells were drenched in oil. I tried to take a picture of the amount of oil on the tortilla, which you can only really see my glistening fingers.
Chicken Taco: Flavor: 4 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 4
It was shredded chicken which was surprisingly moist. The chicken had onions and bell peppers cooked in with it. The chicken taco was the best part of the place.
Service: The server was nice and took our order without writing anything down, but had to continually ask what it was we wanted and then eventually came back with a notepad and pen to write it down - 3

Read morewas a 4...edit at the end...now a 2* Love the vibe. Music when you walk in. Roomy and a bar to the side and tables to the other. The waitress seemed tired or something?? Wasn't too attentive but don't let that stop you from visiting.
The chips were warm and nice, salsa was delicious.
Margaritas we tried were mango and raspberry. Incredibly delicious not a ton of liquor at all in them.
Chimichanga was delicious and so were the rice and beans. Though it didn't come with pico, sour cream, Or avocado. Was a little weird with a dinner order.
My travel mate got the fajitas shrimp, Chicken and steak. It was absolutely delicious and piping hot when it came out.
Portions were huge so I didn't have any room to attempt a desert or id of exploded. But highly recommend if traveling through this area or a local that hasn't given it a chance yet. Very delicious.
edit JUST seen my credit card and was charged 30 dollars over the amount. Tried to call and no manager. A girl spoke to me tried to help said to text them and they'd send me a money order. Sketchy to me being a customer.. so KEEP YOUR RECIEPTS AND DONT LOSE IT. CHECK...
Read moreComing from Texas, growing up in Phoenix, and being married to a beautiful Mexican woman, I am relatively familiar with Mexican food..as is she. We recently moved to the area and had a craving for some Mexican food. Tulum had great reviews and was local, so we tried it out. The staff seemed very friendly, the atmosphere was pleasing, but the food left much to be desired. Very rarely do I think Mexican food needs MORE flavor...and even more rarely do I feel it needs salt. Perhaps my wife and I had a bad batch. I had the chimichanga, which was slightly below average, in my opinion, with a side of rice and beans, as well as a taco, while the wife had their vegetarian chalupa. The beef seemed very watery and tasteless, and the rice and beans just seemed bland. It was..strange? It was completely unexpected for Mexican food and really threw me off. There may be a large local population that enjoys food without much flavor, and maybe they are working with that... I don't know... it, unfortunately, didn't...
