I've been coming here for almost 20 yrs and never had any complaints, until today. Normally the service is quick, but today I stood in line for 5 minutes without being acknowledged once. I noticed there were 11 workers behind the register just scattered (some were prepping good, so I understand), but neither one acknowledged the customers. A line behind me formed, resulting in one guy leaving, and two ladies frustratingly asking me if I was already taken cared of yet. Couple of delivery guys came in to pick up food for one of those online delivery services and they were taken before the people already waiting in line. It seemed like everyone, aside from the food prep, were assisting them, not the customers waiting in line. Now, I understand that the delivery people are on a time restriction, but the workers should also understand that there are paying customers waiting for services. It felt like we were not a priority. One of the girls finally called me up and without even so much as an eye contact mumbled, "I'm sorry for the wait." Listen, I understand customers have to wait, and that's isn't my frustration, but the blatant lack of acknowledgement of customers is. So, I give Andersons 2 stars because the ice cream is always delicious, but the customer service today was terrible. Advice to the management: Please don't prioritize the online delivery service over the people that actually take their time to drive to your business and spend their...
Read moreVery disappointing experience ordering online from this Andersonâs location. Usually, Andersonâs is top notch, which is why we go there and donât mind the higher price point, but this experience was very disappointing. We had an online order that ended up costing $50. Both of our sandwiches were made wrong (they did not include the toppings we ordered on them that we payed an upcharge for), there were no utensils (including no straws for our drinks and spoons for our ice cream), and our brownie overboard sundae was made in a container that could not close correctly so it had already leaked everywhere in the bag when the worker brought our order out to us. Whoever made it must have seen that the container wouldnât close properly, but didnât care enough to remake it in a container that would fully close. Since we brought our order to a park to eat, we had no utensils to eat our food and ice cream with. I understand that mistakes happen and that there are unintentional oversights, but this isnât a $5 meal from the value menu at McDonaldâs. This order was over $50, and there were multiple things wrong with it. If you are going to be charging top dollar for your food, the least you can do is to include everything we paid extra for, package your food correctly, and...
Read moreThe location was easy to access. We ordered 3 ice creams. Each in an dish. I selected a kid sized mint chip ice cream. I was astonished at the small amount. It measured at a 1/2 cup. Certainly, this could be considered a "kid size", however the price did NOT match the quantity. I didn't feel the ice cream was any better than a small ice cream shop in any other town. The location was a bit dirty. Bathrooms were unkempt and the tables had melted ice cream, food crumbs and random wrappers on them. Our cashier was unfriendly and I felt as if she would rather be rubbing her eyeballs out with sandpaper than take an order. He body language suggested annoyance and a hatred for her job. I wouldn't expect this to be the most exhilarating moment of her life to take ice cream orders, however, the customer shouldn't feel unwelcome because of it. A slight smile or common polite language would go a long way to improve the experience. Overall, I likely will not...
