So my boyfriend and I, have eaten here at dennys in Cicero many times; mornings and evenings. We were gonna go someplace nice but the wait list at those places; Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, chili’s etc. were 1-2hrs. It’s usually great at dennys so we went there. However tonight, we had a few issues. When we order breakfast we get extra cheese all the time especially, extra extra cheese on our hash browns and scrambled eggs. Not once have we’ve ever been charged for that. When we got our food it was way smaller proportions than normal and the cheese was absolutely not a lot, at all (small amount). We got charged $1.29, nine times; 11.61 total. When we asked about it the waitress was rude when she said, “They asked for extra extra cheese”. At that point we didn’t wish to argue. She didn’t even let us know when we asked for extra cheese there was gonna be a up charge either! So we paid 53$ No issue, instead of the usual $35-37 we usually do when we order that same thing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find you guys on the better business bureau website. I as well most certainly did not appreciate another waitresses petty, “have a goodnight” attitude either. Usually people are SWEET there and I always tip $20 +. But today it was $2.31. Unfortunately, I didn’t want to tip my hard earned, blood and sweat money from being a dealership automotive technician on snarky service. When I speak to my customers, no matter how frustrating my day is with at least 15 RO’s on my box, pdi’s and get readys and service advisors constantly bugging and stressing me out and customer pressure on when their vehicle is gonna get done and what they don’t understand, I always smile and elaborate/inform kindly. I’m very disappointed. Especially, when I am a female working a labour intensive and...
Read moreThis was so bad, had to write a review. First time at this Denny’s in 20 years... not only was all 4 dishes we ordered wrong, are appetizer was also.
It took 16 minutes to get our drinks that we ordered. It took 32 minutes to get nachos as a appetizer. By the way was ice cold from just sitting there. My mother and I each ordered strawberry banana caramel crape breakfast, received just strawberry with strawberry sauce... (pointed to the one on the menu, top picture) had to ask for banana and Carmel as the waitress looked dumbfounded. My father ordered a skillet meal which was received with a big blob of scrambled eggs on top instead of 2 sunny side up eggs. My husband ordered meatloaf that was ice cold on the outside and hot on the inside from what we can only guess is microwaved. Also his mashed potatoes and broccoli was ice cold.
It gets better....Waitress only came to our table once to bring us the check. I think it was the “manager “ who came over a couple times.
It gets better... we couldn’t check out, another guy tried to ring us out and couldn’t get the check to scan, looked around for help and couldn’t find anyone.
It gets better.... Needless to say as we left 3 of them were outside smoking and talking together.
When a person goes out to eat, that’s all they have is 1 job you feed you what you order... 5 dishes were terrible for a group of 4.
There were only 6 tables there and 3 waitress on plus manager.
1 hour 30 minutes at Denny’s LMAO

Read more04 April 2023, about 1:30 am, I went to meet up with a friend at Denny's; she was having a HUGE meltdown, and Denny's is one of her favorite places. As I sat in the parking lot, waiting for her to arrive, I saw customers come, and almost leave immediately. They didn't have take out or anything, so I was starting to believe the place was closed. She arrived, and we walked in, and there was a woman at the front. She spoke to us the moment we got in; "if you 2 are dining in, I am on break, and will be for the next 30 mins. I am the only person here, so I can't serve you. You need to leave and come back in 30 mins." Anyone who has ever worked nights knows she was lying. If she was the only person there (making her the server and cook), she would have an on duty break, giving her double pay and everything.
Well, we walked out, we stood in the parking lot, agreeing nothing else was really open at the time. We saw the same woman walking out the side door (near the claw machine, honestly didn't even know there was a door there), and it looked like she was walking to the building right next door (not really sure exactly where she was going). Didn't even lock the doors or anything. Personally I found that humorous, since she wanted to state she was the only one there, basically allowing anyone to walk in unintended. We just left before anything...
