Sea Salt — Restaurant in Town of East Hampton

Service was horrendous. We show up to the restaurant around 8 to have a drink and dessert outside. The first server pretty much dismisses us and says that there are no tables. We ask a second server if we could put our name down, she says yes but not until 9:15pm. Ok. We show up at 9:15pm, still no table outside for us and we are seated inside because we do not want to wait longer. The table was dirty and no one came to take our order. We’re upset. We decide to go back outside and no one assists us so we decide to leave both disappointed and frustrated from the lack of attention of the staff. As we’re leaving, a waiter runs after us saying there is a table, but at this point we’re not in the mood. The evening was ruined by rude staff and poor service. That’s not what we should be experiencing during a vacation. The next morning, I go down to the restaurant, the staff there is impolite and again, service is so poor. And a simple coffee is $7. If I could this place 0 stars I would but we all know that’s not an option. We had reservations here for months for a bachelorette party. Showed up and were turned away because they had a wedding planned. Never called us or anything. Got there and they said they tried to call us for days. They didn’t. Not a single missed call or message from them. We’re told they could seat us 3 hours after our reservation. They don’t care didn’t care. Extremely unorganized and absolutely rude. Will never dine here and will never recommend here....

I wish I had read all the reviews before coming. It pretends to be a high end Montauk restaurant but the food quality is not good. For example, the clam chowder was watered down with few clams, the fluke crudo was tasteless, the hummus on the Mediterranean plate was terrible, the jalapeño in the cocktail had no kick.
