Headline says it all. My friends and I (30/31) have stayed here two summers in a row. The hotel is in an amazing location with standard Montauk motel rooms. The pool is awesome and we got to check in early so we came back for a second year. Unfortunately we had the worst time due to our neighbors - a group of mothers in one room and their 18 year old kids in another room that was a conjoining room to ours. The door that conjoins isnât sound proof at all. It was unbelievable that the hotel wouldnât conjoin the two rooms in their party together. Front desk had nowhere else to move us. We learned later that the mothers had a very large room which is why they likely couldnât conjoin. We discovered this because they took our beach chairs and towels left on the balcony twice and we had to retrieve them. We would come back from one of the bars to the HS kids drinking, blasting music, and literally screaming - the conjoining door just amplifies everything. They were up all night every night and we could hear almost everything word for word. There is no real security at night. There is a phone number to call and we discovered that itâs one person for multiple properties the hotel owns. He was basically useless as he only told them to be quiet once. The kids were running up and down the balcony and someone jumped off and into the pool one night. Lots of other people staying at the hotel had complained to no avail. There was even a bachelor party staying at the hotel and those guys werenât as rowdy as these kids. The moms of these kids must have been passed out from wine all night because when we complained them them about the kids they were shocked and clueless. The door is a code lock and the kids made friends in town and we heard them shouting their room code to others. The moms only took it seriously when we told them the kidsâ room lock number, but it never worked and security didnât care. Front desk staff never cared the next day either, they just said sorry. Itâs not worth staying here, even for the pool. There are better...
Read moreMy friend and I stayed here for one night.|Upon arrival, we only realised it was our accommodation as we saw the outdoor pool. There is no sign on the building and the reception area part of the building appeared derelict.|The gentleman who checked us in was extremely pleasant and helpful and I later went back to ask some questions about check out, getting around etc and he was more than happy to assist.|We arrived about 4 hours before check in time but our room was ready and he was happy to check us in.|It is also very secure and they text you the code for your room which you enter upon entry.|The room was really spacious, had two beds, a sofa bed and plenty of storage (wardrobe/chest of draws). There was a kitchenette which included a fridge and dishwasher although wouldn't have said this was necessary as the only thing to cook anything in was a microwave. There was also a coffee maker.|The bathroom was small and the shower was luke warm but there were loads of towels and free products.|The room had a table and chairs for 4 and a tv but we couldn't get it to work although we were only there for one night.|The room was really nicely decorated and I wouldn't have said it was dated but there were 3 pieces of curtain which didn't close properly and a massive gap under the door which let quite a draft in, my friend complained the whole time we were there that she was cold.|Also, as we were ground floor, the sun didn't really reach the room because of the rooms above and the room could have done with a full length mirror.|Furthermore, as well as curtains, the rooms could have done with blinds as when the curtains were open, everyone could see directly into the room when walking past.|The pool wasn't open but I guess it was a bit out of season.|The hotel was in a good location, a stones throw from the sandy beach and one road down from the main highway where there were plenty of eateries and boutique stores.|Just needs a little tlc but otherwise a...
Read moreOur family booked this place last minute. It cost us about $320 (with tax) per night for 2 double beds and a pull out couch. ||Montauk prices have skyrocketed in the past few years. However, many of these prices come with a renovated room. Not here. In fact, this motel is one of the last in town to upgrade. The price point was ridiculous. ||When we booked the room, I got an email and phone call shortly after that our reservation was cancelled because they didnât have a room for us. Then I got a follow up call saying they could accommodate us after all. Not confidence inspiring. I was also told we needed to bring our own pack and play as they didnât have one (or a crib). A family motel?!||When we walked into our room there was a MASSIVE wet spot under the pull out couch. It squished when we stepped on it. I let the front desk know and their solution was to put two small heaters on the area. Did nothing. We realized we couldnât let our baby crawl in the floor since we had NO IDEA wheat the wet spot was. The next morning, housekeeping put towels on the spot. Note the color of the towels in my pic below. What is the wet spot?!???? Gross. ||The bathroom was horrifying. I didnât get pics of it...but just trust me when I say that you donât want to walk around in there (or the the rest of the room!) barefoot. ||The property itself isnât well cared for at all. Broken blinds in rooms, terrible beds, stained floors, etc. I donât blame the housekeeping staff...I blame management. It just feels dirty everywhere you go. Maybe single, 20-somethings would be fine here...but donât take your family.||Granted we were here just to sleep...but at over $300 a night this place should be far better than it is. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone else in town is investing in their properties. These guys need to take note and follow suit. ||The 1 star is for the location thatâs all. Hotel...
