New to the area and glad we tried this place. I’m not a jelly doughnut fan by any means but gave their famed item a try and I can see why it’s a favorite. The dough is truly light and pillowy. The jam/jelly is not too sweet at all, so it’s really a great sweet treat to go with your morning coffee or tea. We also tried their strawberry rhubarb pie and even though we did like their crust, we felt the inside filling was much too soft and jelly like, almost like supermarket consistency. We tried two other pies later in the summer season (peach/blueberry and peach/strawberry i think) and they were far better, and looked great and tasted delicious. We’ll continue to visit for those yummy doughnut holes!

Local bakery that we occasionally go to for birthday cakes, pies to bring over for barbecues, etc. or the occasional donut but had never tried their holiday pies. Since we were cooking for Thanksgiving at my parents and I didn't want to also make dessert, I dropped by the Wednesday before. The store was buzzing, the pies were stacked on shelves, and there was plenty of staff to help. It was quick in and out. Not everyone enjoyed the pumpkin pie unfortunately but I'll still go back for their other goodies and to try the rest of their menu.

Talk about a small town bakery! The BEST place for pies and jelly donuts. A must for every holiday. The service is always so personable even when they’re busy- a true family owned business. And it’s true! Santa goes to Galloway’s for his pies!

I’ve had better pies, but these are probably the best in the area. The fruit in everything is super fresh. It’s a cute lil bakery experience to visit. Would I wait on that long af line I’ve seen in the holiday photos? No. I’ve had better pie at Stop and Shop and ShopRite in Scarsdale. But I’d go back for the sheer variety in pies for sure.

The other offerings are great here, cookies, rainbow cookies, bread, Bundt cake, etc.

I want to settle an issue I’ve read about in these reviews. I ordered the jelly doughnuts just to see if it was even possible to suck the jelly out. It is DEFINITELY not possible to empty the doughnuts of jelly or even lick it out. I had five people try besides me. So, it seems like there are fluke experiences where, indeed, the doughnuts are NOT filled. I do not believe the customers should have faced blame for the barren doughnuts. May God protect you from...

The absolute BEST mini jelly donuts hands down! These jelly donuts are like donut holes, but on steroids! Galloways is open on weekends only, and when we get there on Saturday morning they are so soft and fresh, you can’t stop eating them! The jelly oozing out of the soft, doughy, fresh cake is amaaaazing! They come in large and small sizes. We get the large, it has about 16 pieces, give or take because they go by weight. The small is about 9 or so. They come in a large paper bowl and wrapped in a plastic bag. These will definitely be a great desert to bring to someone’s house! Oh, did I mention that every inch of them is covered in powdered sugar! Ugh..now I want more! Tip: if you are bringing them somewhere, people tend to eat 2-3 each....

Bought 2 pies. Banana cream was a huge hit--fresh, smooth, creamy, tons of banana pieces and fresh whipped cream, flaky delicious crust. 10 out of 10. $23 and worth every penny.

Key lime with whipped cream topping was a huge flop. Crust like the banana cream pie, but it should have been the signature graham cracker crust that is the hallmark of an authentic key lime pie.

Biggest offense was the lime filling itself--tasted like it had been poured out of a can, was bouncy and gelatinous rather than creamy in texture, and it lacked the sharpness and acidity characteristic of a good key lime pie. In was, in a word, awful. 2 out of 10 because crust was good for what it was, even thought it didn't belong in a key lime pie....
