Akari Sushi 2 — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

I discovered this restaurant after many frustrating experiences at another Sushi place in Hopewell Junction. Knowing this, a friend recommended Akari 2 for my Sushi takeout, and even though it was an additional 5 minute drive, I took the chance. I am so glad I did! I never looked back. Akari 2's Sushi Deluxe is as it should be: fresh and a good variety (the other place turned into nothing better than supermarket sushi - tuna, salmon and that was it). Soup and salad included (the other place was hit or miss). I like adding a few a la carte pieces as well and they never disappoint. Oh, and the the orders are perfect every time (the other place messed up every time). They are also friendly and the place looks clean and inviting (not so much the other restaurant). Excellent sushi place. The restaurant itself is pretty large so they can accommodate a large group, the sushi was great. They have a large variety of special rolls, it’s almost too much but you sure to find a combination for everyone. Service was great as well. Price was reasonable and is to be expected for good sushi. Also have a large variety of hot and cold saki, we weren’t able to order because they are still waiting on their license but I recognize some of the sakis on the list and hoping next time we’re back we can try them out. I’m not really sure about the service or the atmosphere since I ordered takeout but they were really fast. The food was very fresh and delicious. The scallion pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. Light and flaky! The Hamachi Kama was delicious and had a lot of fish on the neck! The Maki Combo C was great! The only thing I didn’t really enjoy was the miso soup.
