Subway is one of my fav food chains. The Fishkill location is usually good. My visit yesterday was not. The two people behind the counter were overwhelmed with mobile orders so could not help whoever walked in to place their orders at the counter (me and a few others). Each mobile ordered was incorrect so their attention went into remaking those orders as each person came in to pick up and complained their order wasn’t right. Seems to be since there were two workers , one of them one could have been doing mobile orders and one could have been helping the walk in customers (again, me and others behind me). So after waiting 15 minutes to be waited on with no apology or thank you for waiting, the sandwiches that were made for me in a complete hurry with seemingly no neatness standards were terrible. First off the lettuce and spinach on display were old and brown and wilted. Most of the toppings looked questionable. The sandwiches were very sloppily put together with ingredients spilling out so much I dreaded getting them home and dealing with the sloppy messes when having them for dinner. I considered saying I didn’t want the order after it was inadequately made before she rang it up, but I didn’t and $25 later for 2 sandwiches left very very unsatisfied. Then recently I ordered a sandwich and when I was about to check out they claimed their coupon scanner doesn’t work and tried to make me pay full price for the sandwiches when i had a valid coupon of two foot-longs for $12.99. I argued the point that I have a valid coupon and he should be able to make the adjustment on the register. He told me he could give me a 10% discount but I refused, once again stating I have a valid coupon. He then said “let me see what I can do” and punched a couple buttons on the register and then told me to scan my coupon. I thought to myself, HE JUST TOLD ME THE COUPON SCANNER DIDN’T WORK AND NOW IT MIRACULOUSLY IS WORKING. If you ask me it’s just a way for them to DECEIVE the customer and make them pay full price for the sandwich or get a measly 10% discount. Subway Headquarters should look into this.
