Honest review of the food we were served Sat. night 1/7/22:

-Chili was outstanding, but could have been hotter. Would order again. Onion and cheese served on top per my request.

-New York strip was terrible for $26. Steak was ordered medium, and had no char on the outside. Fat (huge amount), silver skin, and gristle would not allow a knife or teeth to get through this awful cut of meat. Usually I would not say anything, but my wife insisted due to the price. When the waitress asked if she could box up the leftovers (90% of the my steak), I said no, and that it was not good. She became overly defensive which made me feel even more uncomfortable for saying anything. She came back and explained that my Coca Cola and wife's Old Fashioned would be removed from the bill.

-Wife's prime rib (Queen cut) was rushed. It was ordered medium rare, but it was tough, and the fat was inedible. Prime rib needs to cook ALL DAY. I assume they must have run out of servings and rushed more out - not the way to serve prime rib. The fat (when cooked all day) should melt in your mouth. We took half the cut home with us to Dr. up for breakfast the next day.

-Baked potato was rushed, and not cooked thoroughly. Not easily eaten.

I don't recall what my wife started with - perhaps it was a salad or other soup. Must have been fine. I will say that we had mixed feelings on the mushrooms that came with the steak. She liked hers, but mine were bland IMO.

We did not receive any bread until the entrée's had been served. It was explained that they had "run out" of bread, and more was being made. The table next to us was served multiple servings and none was available for our table. That's an easy problem to fix, but I digress. Just something I noticed.

The service was very attentive, and I love the atmosphere of this place. Very supper-club, and good cocktails from what I've had in the past. I just wasn't drinking that night.

Still giving 3/5 stars because I know that a bad cut of steak can go unnoticed by the kitchen at times, and I'm going to assume the kitchen just had an "off" night. Expensive lesson though. I felt the steak should have been removed from my bill. When I left, it was still at the restaurant LOL. Not like I took it home or even...

My fiance and I stopped here on the way back out of town from The Lions Den Nature Preserve. First I have to say that the food was delicious, however not a great experience. First of all when walking in the atmosphere was a bit off, we felt like it was definitely more of a place for locals and regulars. Waitress was decently nice, got our drinks quick as well as our appetizers. We orders 2 waters, 2 beers and 2 appetizers...we decided to hold off on ordering our meals until we found out how full we were going to be. When the waitress came back to ask if we wanted a refill on our beers my fiance opted for a refill and I asked for a mountain dew, while she was there I told her we decided we wanted to try to Philly Cheesesteak with Onion Rings to share because we were already kinda full from the appetizers but really wanted to try the Cheesesteak. She then informed us it would be a fee to share a meal, I found that to be odd. I asked how much the fee was and she told us $10!!!!!! I made sure that's what she said and she confimed what I thought I heard. I said, okay no thank you we'll just get the check instead I'm not paying $10 to share a meal when a whole second one is $15. I absolutely will not be going back to this establishment. They also charge a 3% fee for using a card and if you have a group you can't pay with multiple cards, there are signs up stating that only one card can be used per table (this was not a problem for us, just a warning to others). This is a terrible way to conduct business. I would have understood if we had gone in and tried to be as cheap as possible. But that wasn't the case, we just didn't want to waste food by ordering 2 meals that would have gotten half eaten after having a heafty serving...

Worst experience ever! This was my second and LAST time to this outrageously outdated, old , and dirty place. My friend recommended it to me, so my husband and I went there twice. The first time we went, it wasn’t too bad. The food was OK, but I felt rushed and couldn’t get over how out-dated and dirty the place was. A month later we decided to go again. My husband made a reservation for two for 5:00PM. We got a table in the “dungeon”, although the whole dining-room area was empty, but we were told the other tables were reserved. We got our food, and every 10-15 minutes the bus-girls kept coming up asking if we were done… the second the waitress left the bill, the bus-girl came up asking if we’re ready to pay. By the way, if you don’t pay by cash, there’s an extra charge. After dinner, we ordered another drink. That’s when the owner came up and said that they had another reservation for the table we were at. I asked him what we were supposed to do with the drinks we just ordered, and he just shrugged his shoulders justifying that on Saturdays you were allowed only an hour and thirty minutes. SERIOUSLY????! I paid almost $200 to be told you have to leave after spending a little over an hour at the restaurant on a Saturday night?!??!!!!!! Extremely disappointed and angry. I guess, they have their regulars that they depend on, so if you’re not one of them, you’ll be treated with no respect and your business is not appreciated. Unless you wanna spend close to $200 in 1.5 hours and go down a memory lane to early 2000s with dirty glasses, silverware, and frozen bread, DO NOT GO THERE-do...

Old timey combo super club and community gathering place. Interesting local lore, I won't spoil it as the menu retelling history and naming does a great job. Dined in several times and always busy, especially on Fridays, so be prepared to wait or eat at the bar. We sat in the cozy dining area, but they also have a nice outdoor covered deck and super attentive staff. Sandwiches and entrees are generous portions, and you won't leave hungry. The menu is flexible with many options (blackened, grilled, broiled, and fried) to prep on most chicken and fish dinners. Recently, on Friday, we tried the Cajun Haddock and Walleye, which was outstanding. The shrimp was overbattered and a little tough for sure, not hand breaded. What was a touch disappointing was the inconsistent side options. Fresh tasty rolls and haystack onion rings were on point, but the salad dressing, tartar sauce, and apple sauce were food service. Puting it on homemade potatoes, pancakes [which mine this time were over fried and greasy] seemed wrong in a lot of ways. The beer selection options is light for the size of the bar. Overall , it could be amazing with a couple of small and easy to complete upgrades.

Juice’s Ghost Town is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And if you look at my review profile, you’ll know I’ve had a lot of burgers. If you’re looking for Wisconsin Bar Food (our favorite), this is the best you’ll find from Sheboygan to Milwaukee. The Curd Nurd cheese curds are also some of the best I’ve ever had: he makes the curds fresh each morning and delivers them to several local restaurants and gas stations. They’re lightly battered and full of flavor. The burgers… aww, the burgers, are so good. Perfect and juicy patty, hard roll buns, fresh lettuce and tomato, along with great fries. We also at a later date tried the homemade chips, and those were awesome and they give you so much of them compared to the fries. We’d recommend those chips. Only one star is down on the atmosphere because although the place was super fun and unique — a converted pizza 1900s dance hall and the placemats detail the history of the name Ghost Town, it’s super interesting — there was some dust and spider webs on the window near us. Overall, 10/10 for Juice’s Ghost Town and we took way too long to try it!

Beef stroganoff was great, a little on the salty side, but pretty dang good! They say on the menu you can't complain or send back a medium or medium well steak though, and this image was their "medium." My MIL felt she couldn't send it back because of this. We also learned you can't order a dish to share, if you do, it's a $10 share fee. Prices on the menu are also the "cash" price, if you pay with a card of any kind there's an upcharge of 3%. There front door states this. As any other business owner knows, you just take those card reader fees. It sucks but you do. I've never encountered a place trying to put it on the customer like that before.
