I’m actually really disappointed in this experience. Firehouse Subs used to be one of my favorites back in Kansas, but I moved to Wisconsin 4 years ago and hadn’t tried it up here yet. This was the first time and I was expecting better. I’ll start with the lesser issue, which was that the sandwich was soggy. What made me decide not to return again after this was the experience. Me, my mom, and two other customers were in the shop. I had placed an order on the app and while we were patiently waiting for it to be done, I had to stop my conversation with my mom because someone (I don’t know if it was a manager or just another worker) was yelling at a noticeably younger worker (probably a teenager). Now, did I notice that this kid was taking a drink while working? No. Did I notice the adult man yelling at him over it? Yes. I moved on from that until a few minutes later the man was yelling at this kid again for something else. Once more, did I notice whatever this adult was yelling at the kid about? No. But it made me uncomfortable to hear the tone and way in which he spoke to this teen. We’ve all been that age. We all have had an entry level job before. If you have an issue with a worker, you do NOT publicly and loudly degrade them in front of customers. I hope an apology is given to this kid and he knows that he doesn’t deserve to be spoken to in that manner, no matter what he’s doing. If this was a manager speaking to this kid, grow up....
Read moreWhat I had. The turkey and bacon with no bacon on white. They don't have just a turkey sub. I'll start with the positive. Staff was friendly. There not skimpy on the meat. The negatives. To me at least. No seafood type sub available. One of my favorites. Choices of bread are minimal. White or wheat. Really? Ever heard of whole grain, French, something??? The white was flavorless to me. Bread was so so. I buy better bread at the store for making my own sandwiches. Had to finally tell the girl taking my order to just give me what I want on the sub and quit referring to what does or doesn't come standard on a sandwich. Made ordering a sub why more complicated than it should have been. Price is a little more than my regular place. I'm pretty sure I asked for cheese even though they didn't ask me. It never made it on it. A little late once your home t find this out. Summary. There's only a couple of things needed to make a good sub. Really good bread is a big one. Kind of like how a good pizza crust makes the pizza. There plain jane choices for bread is there down fall to me. Nothing makes there subs special enough to make me wanting...
Read moreCame in for my second visit ever, very disappointed in the management making it sound like me and my fiancé were just getting a free meal. After getting our two large subs my fiancé noticed that her sub was a bit cold, me a fast eater already had half my sub gone and I nodded her off saying "it's probably just you" when I lifted my second half of sub I noticed it was a bit cold on the side where the meat was hanging out. So I stuck my finger in my sub and it was ice cold. I walked up the manager and said our subs are a bit cold on the Inside, and before I could finish my sentence the manager goes "Maybe tell us next time before you eat half your sub" I replied to the back side of his head as he waddled away while I was in mid sentence. Extremely rude and after he makes the sub and puts it on the table he goes "it might be cold when you get home." very rude experience. As much as I liked the food the first time I came, I will not be returning due to the rude, irresponsible, sad excuse of "a...
