Mr. Subb - Green Island — Restaurant in Town of Green Island

I've been going to Mr. Subb 30+ years on been alright until lately. Nuggets never prepared, missing or unprepared ingredients for subs, lame excuses, no nuggets around 1130 lunch crowd, baking cookies instead of the mainstay. They open at 10 and seem never prepared for the lunch crowd. The last visit was my final 15 minutes beyond my order for nuggets no thanks, 2 ingredients missing for my sub one out of stock, one in stock but wasn't prepped . I could see if I walked in at 10am 1130ish for crying out loud furthermore the prices, customer service (severely lacking now), prep (lacking), quality of food and the audacity to be told 15 minutes beyond our order to wait for nuggets after they prepare a sub with two missing ingredients all at full price. No thanks, never going back to any location. They don't value your time or loyalty. Their loss we still gotta eat my market or another food establishment will...

5/10/2025 I ordered via Doordash from the Green Island, NY location and got rotten cajun potato nuggets that tasted really bad. This is the second time I got stale potato nuggets. The sub I got was delicious and fresh. I just wish there was better quality and consistency. Usually, these issues don't stem from day to day employees, it's up to the manager to teach their employees food handling and safety and supervise employees to make sure customers receive fresh items. Disappointed with my visit to Mr. Sub, Green Island I’ve been a regular at Mr. Sub for years, usually stopping in at least once a week for my go-to, the tuna sub. Unfortunately, my most recent visit to the Green Island location was a huge letdown. The sub was practically all lettuce, and there was almost no tuna at all.
