China Max — Restaurant in Town of Guilderland

I recently visited China Max in Crossgates Mall and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Chinese dishes, all prepared fresh and full of flavor.

The Sesame Chicken was a standout—crispy, perfectly sauced, and packed with the right balance of sweetness and tang. The General Tso’s Chicken was equally impressive, with tender pieces of chicken coated in a savory, slightly spicy sauce. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and comfortable, creating a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal.

Whether you're in the mood for classic Chinese favorites or something new to try, China Max is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area!

The younger woman Wouldn't let me have time descide what I wanted. I was at the back of the line and couldn't see what all they had, but she kept yelling "what sides?" Over and over bc she was too determined to set up too soon so that he could stand outside and half ass pass out samples while the elder woman was doing everything else by herself like cooking and ringing customers up. My food was sitting on the counter 20mins, by the time I got it, it was cold. I had potatoes too so that was just gross. The younger women was rushing me tho just to have my food to sit there during a backed up line. The quality of everything was very poor. And bc I pointed out that my food is going to be cold by the time it gets to the register she only gave me one scoop of meat and gave my friend two scoops. Very spiteful and...

This review is simply about the service and not the food. I ordered and asked the server to separate a product that contained sesame oil from the rest of the food since my young daughters planned on sharing one plate. One of my daughters has a sesame allergy. All he had to do was put orange chicken in a separate small container. He tried to tell me they don’t usually do this and he is doing this just one time. I quickly informed him that this is due to an allergy, so the fact that he thinks he is doing me a favor is beyond me. I was tempted to just walk away, but I got it, because my little ones wanted that food. I have never bought food from there before and I absolutely won’t be back. Just really poor customer...
