I am pleasantly surprised! This is a chain and I usually avoid them but I must say I will come back.
They have parking and that is always a positive for me ! The place is large and the lighting is pretty romantic and soft, the tables are comfortable and they have tvs all over to keep the boys entertained with the latest games playing.
The server was friendly and she knew how to navegante the menu, she was great at upselling items while not being pushy. She was a great server to be honest.
MARGARITA FLIGHT- I ordered this to try their variety of margarita flavors, the flight was of a great size for me and there was plenty of booze in the drinks, something I don't experience often in chain restaurants. I must say that it was a ok choice but even though all of them were pretty good, the winner for me was the boba peach margarita, I wanna come back there just so I can get that own full size.
FRIED CALAMARI- it is a large portion and the sauces were pretty good, the calamari was not as crispy and a lot of it was legs, but the overall taste was good
TRIO DIP - the dips were guacamole, queso and artichoke. I must say that all of them were good but the artichoke dip won my heart, I am sure that next time it will be the only dip I'll get, the chips were ok but I wish there was another choice of item, maybe vegetables just like the ones that come with wings would be nice.
AHI TUNA SALAD- where to begin on this one. This is a nice and large portion, without the appetizers this in its own is enough for myself and another person. The salad itself was good and the dressing was very yummy. Now this salad was ok but had a bit of issues for me. There was way too many red peppers, these peppers are rich in flavor so it kind of hijacked the salad flavor a lot, if there were less of them I think it would have been better, NOW the star of the dish. The tuna itself was a huge disappointment. The amount of tuna was already not optimal for me, but what actually was the most disappointing part was the taste. It tasted very fishy. Almost like I was eating a fish market. It was not great but we talked to the server and in no time the manager came by to offer another choice, I was full from appetizers so I decided to just give up on the salad all together but my company asked to see the menu, it never came....
It was fine in the end for us as the appetizers were enough. We were not upset or anything, we were actually happy that they took the salads off the bill and were attentive to try to make it right.
Overall I can say that for me the experience was amazing and I will come...
Read moreOn May 27th my girlfriend and I were serviced by Renee W and had a horrible experience. I ordered a medium cooked hickory brisket and bacon burger (without the bacon) and fries. Renee W did not write down the order and in an attempt to memorize it, did not bring what I asked for. After waiting 40+ minutes the burger arrived well done and dry with bacon on it, even though I told her to have it removed. The french fries were also overcooked. We let Renee W know and she apologized and went to get us another burger. 40+ minutes later it finally arrived. This time the burger did not have the bacon on it, but was still dry and it was salty… Renee W kept coming to check on the table and repeatedly asked “YA’LL GOOD?”, I requested on numerous occasions for a refill of water, only for her to say ok and never actually bring more water. She also kept touching her face and legs in plain sight and we’re not sure if she even washed her hands afterwards. We ordered a pizookie trio consisting of two monkey bread pizookies and one strawberry shortcake pizookie. We said it twice to Renee W and rather than writing it down, she attempted to memorize it again. She returned 10 minutes later to clarify if we wanted one monkey bread and two strawberry shortcake pizookies, only for us to have to correct her. The trio arrived and the two monkey bread pizookies were burnt at the bottom and the sugar cookie (for the strawberry shortcake pizookie) was undercooked. Renee told us that the restaurant ran out of whipped cream (which was supposed to top the strawberry shortcake pizookie), only for us to turn around and see another table receive whipped cream on top of theres. Now why would she lie about that? She also said that the kitchen manager was traveling to different BJs and was not there to make sure the kitchen staff were on their A game. We later found out from upper management that that was also a lie… We’re regulars at BJs and we always order the same thing. Somehow, Renee W managed to mess up a meal for two that only consisted of a 10 piece wing, one burger, french fries,...
Read moreThis is in reference to a visit on Friday June 21st.
I had been here once before where the service was fine and the food was good. Not great, but good. The return to this particular establishment was not worth it. In fact, my party and I didn't even stay and told the rest of our group to not even bother to meet us there. When we arrived we understood not being seated until our complete party arrived, standard restaurant procedure. That's not what warranted a bad review.
We decided to wait in the bar area for the rest of our party, grab some drinks/apps to pass the time. Bar area is where you seat yourself, so we sat an waited. And waited. And waited. We asked two servers about getting the table that we were at wiped down and both responded with, let me find someone. That someone never came. While we waited for just a simple wipe-down of our table, the cleanest one available that night, we also realized that no one was coming to take our orders at all. Near the front by the POS systems there was a gaggle of servers joking, talking and hanging out, and no one seemed interested in trying to engage with any patrons.
We observed terrible service, or rather no service at all in our case, and unprofessional behavior such as servers flirting with patrons as opposed to doing their jobs. You can flirt, sure on your own time but not at work with patrons that weren't even part of your section. After a good 20 minutes or so, I suggested we go elsewhere and left, my party agreeing and following my example.
I remember my first visit not being bad so this was shameful and painful to endure. The management will have to do something about the serving staff because as they are now, they are not helping the place look good at all and I wouldn't want to return until they have servers there that know how to treat their customers. I work in the service industry myself and if I acted the way they did, I wouldn't have a job, so I don't understand how this is acceptable. One star, and that's only because my initial visit wasn't the nightmare that...
