Golden Wok — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

The Jumbo shrimp is colossal like just very fresh,clean and they’re delicious.Golden Wok has very good quality seafood,the vegetables were bright green cooked to crisp perfection not overdone or underdone,the chicken fried rice as well very perfect not oversmoked or burnt.I recently ordered delivery paying with credit card online & it was very prompt and very easy to navigate.The prices are very fair as well you get a lot of food for the cost.In the past I have ordered food for both take out and delivery by phone paying cash and the chicken was tender and very tasty.I’ve always had a good experience with the service and quality of food here.Although, i was very impressed and very pleased just blown away by the jumbo shrimp it really is jumbo sized not advertised as jumbo like other places that give me krill sized shrimp when they advertise jumbo.The baby shrimp is baby sized,but that’s very straight forward & there is no deceiving.I definitely recommend Golden Wok...

I have no idea how this place is rated a 4.8 on Grubhub... the food was unbelievably bad. I am actually in shock right now. I have had low quality Chinese food before but this takes it to a whole new level. The scallion pancakes were so greasy they were unedable. The soup broth had 0 flavor, basically dirty water with ok wonton but the chicken noodle and egg drop soup were absolutely horrible. The sésame chicken tastes more like Ketchup than sésame chicken and might have actually been spoiled based on the after taste, and the chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce was just bad. Food was bland, not fresh, and sometimes just tasted bad, even spoiled! Hopefully ratings go down a bit because seeing 4+ stars on both Google and GrubHub was very decieving. Grubhub actually has this place rated at 4.8 stars with 1.1 thousand reviews, MUST BE BOTS! Hopefully enough real people try this food and ratings...
