Great Wall Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Do not order from this establishment I ordered food tonight and first of all they took forever to come and when they finally got here he called me and told me he was outside I go outside and I don’t see anyone so I called him back to confirm his location and then he’s yelling at me telling me that he’s outside I look down my block and he’s all the way at the end of my corner and then he comes to give me the food and asks for a tip I tell him I do not have any cash and he proceeds to tell me to not order food from here anymore unless I have a tip and I tell him that’s very unappropriate it is my choice to give you a tip if I don’t have the cash I don’t have the cash and then he continues To yell at me stating do not order from here anymore and I go in the house while inside he then calls me about 4 to 5 times after I’m in the house with my food at this point I never answered, but the question is why are you calling me after you already gave me my food and I’m inside there’s nothing for us to discuss I am very upset and I cannot call the establishment back because it is closed I am very upset and disappointed that I paid for this food. And it wasn’t even that great...

This is a no frills Chinese take out restaurant. We ordered from the lunch specials and for the price, it was decent.

The soup was fresh, and the chow fun was tasty. Overall, the food was good. There appeared to be only two people working there, so we were lucky to get our food as fast as we did. They do a lot of business, and people are constantly coming in to pick up food.

We ate inside where they had three tables. It was raining outside, so it was nice to sit and eat. It was an average experience for a take out place. Nothing spectacular, but nothing...

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant, so much so that I was actually compelled to write a review. They almost seem angry that you are giving them business, and constantly scowl at you. In addition, they served me white rice when I specifically ordered brown and when I asked for them to change it they demanded I pay extra and stared angrily at me. The man tried to tell me that I ordered white rice which I have never done in my entire life. Not to mention, the food was mediocre at best.
