We were excited about staying at a familiar brand, and we were forgiving the stains and door scratches left by previous pets because the room was comfortably large for our 8 night stay. However, a couple of days later while we were headed to dinner, we got a call asking if we had dogs in the room. Of course I said yes, as when I made the reservation with Wyndham I told them I needed pet friendly room for our 2 adults, 3 teens, and our dogs, so I figured the pets were on our reservation when we checked in. The caller told me of a pet fee that Wyndham reservations had not disclosed, which I said, well "i gave my credit card at check in". Then I was told our room wasn't a pet friendly room. Now, I feel discriminated against. I was forgiving evidence of irresponsible pet owners before me. They had to move us to a smaller room and it had to be that night. We had already paid for 8 nights (full charge already hit our card), unpacked, stayed a couple nights, and were having to pack back up and move into a room half the size. They said I would get a refund of the price difference, but it has not come yet. When I checked at the desk to get the keys for the new room, I asked at the desk about the stains and scratches and was told "you don't know that those were from dogs," so I asked if they were from rats, but she didn't answer. Later, when we returned the keys for the other room, I was told the 1st floor is the only one pet friendly. I warned him that when you walk a leashed dog down the hall of the 5th floor (where we had been ataying), 3 or 4 of the rooms have barking from inside. Now, being on the 2nd floor, my review that to room is tight, fitness and spa are not open, and I have not seen my refund of the difference. I do not...
Read moreI'm not sure where to begin but this stay was beyond disappointing. One of the mattresses that my family (children) slept on was full of urine stains. They spent the night sleeping on this mattress and in the morning complained of having smelt urine. Upon further investigation we found the stains after removing the bedding. I brought this to the attention of the management on staff at the time requesting a full refund, and stating that my family members could have contracted some kind of disease due to bodily discharge on their mattresses. After two plus hours we were only issued a partial refund and I was told to contact customer support to discuss a full refund. Not only had this incident been a huge inconvenience to our stay; I was now being told to further waste my time to resolve this issue. After refusing to do so, management finally took the responsibility to speak with the owners of the hotel. To further fuel the disappointment, the owners of the hotel refused to issue a full refund as well. I was then told I could speak with corporate regarding the matter (an additional three phone calls wasting my time), to which I did and received the same outcome. I will add that the Wyndham Guest Services representative was very rude with me on the phone, cutting me off multiple times, and at one point stating “well that didn’t happen” to justify a partial refund when I brought up the fact that this could have been a health hazard to my family. Additionally, the general manager of this property disregarded my email when I sent him pictures of the urine stains. We had booked three rooms that stay and brought them plenty of business. Given how this property likes to treat its guests, I will not be staying here or at a Wyndham location...
Read moreI cannot begin to express how many things were wrong about my stay at La Quinta last Friday. From our room not having a phone that works, the floors were dirty, the door didn't lock and the room was very small. Aside from all of that a housekeeper had my airpods in her HOME! On Monday morning I realized that I did not have my airpods and I realized that I must've forgotten them at the hotel. When I called the hotel to speak to the manager I was told that nothing was found there. So I tracked my airpods through the Find My iPhone app and I was given the exact location of my airpods. I told the employee over the phone that it looks like it could be one of the employees at the hotel and she insisted that it couldn't be. So I went to the location, knocked on the door for one of the housekeepers of the hotel to open it and she stated that she found the airpods in the parking lot of the hotel.... If that was the case WHY NOT RETURN THEM TO THE FRONT DESK? I know for a fact that I left the airpods charging in my room because I didn't need to take them with me to a Christmas party that I was attending..... When I called the hotel back to report that their employee had my belongings they told me that there was nothing that they could do.... I asked for the manager to give me a call this morning and NOTHING. Not even an APOLOGY! I feel completely violated and I would not recommend this...
