KC's RVC — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Last night was our first time going there and it was pretty nice although they were very busy but a busy business is a good thing. My husbands hamburger was thick and juicy and the French fries were perfect. I had the pan seared scallops and mixed vegetables and that was good. My Apple martini was to strong . It was pure alcohol burning my throat but I guess another waiter noticed my facial expressions and came over immediately to inquire. He apologized and replaced my drink with another apple martini that was the perfect balance of apple flavor and alcohol. He also informed our waiter Dominick of the situation. Dominick came as soon as he had a moment to follow up and I really did appreciate that service. Dominick also checked on us through out our time there to see if everything else was ok, clear off our table and to see if we needed anything else. He was extremely polite and offered another apology for the drink before we finally left. We look forward to going back...

Came on a Thursday night around 8pm with the hubby. There were 2 other customers sitting at the bar. They were fully staffed, 3 people behind the bar and 3 busser/waiters. We came into the restaurant and saw everyone was on their phones or sitting and chatting to each other. When we walked up to the bar we were finally greeted and told we could sit any where.

Service was strangley bad. There were so few people but it felt like they couldn't be bothered. At one point the restaurant received a phone call and no one moved to get it, after 9 rings one employee finally went to pick up but it was too late at that point, the customer already hung up.

Food was good but nothing amazing or special. I wouldn't go out of my way for okay pricey food and meh service.

Though I'd been to Kasey's before for drinks on random nights, I recently decided to choose them for a private event in one of their party rooms. The staff and experience could not have been any more perfect. The drinks were always delicious and the bartender always friendly, the food was all fantastic, including the pasta bar we went with, and the staff as a whole were all really great. Everything we asked for we got (random things like the perfect music station and volume, extra seating possibilities, and even saran wrap for some leftover birthday cake). When the event was over at 11, I was apologizing for not getting everyone out in time as people were still saying goodbye, et cetera, but the catering manager just smiled and told me to take my time and not to worry at all.
