If you’re looking for the newest Long Island hot spot, check out @mypappagallo in RVC✨ This new gem is serving up authentic Peruvian cuisine & the interior is really eye catching 🤩 If you’re a ceviche lover like me, you have to order their super fresh Ceviche Nekkei ✨ If you’re not afraid of a little crispy swine, the Chanchito Chifa was also a great hit. You also can’t go wrong with their two most popular dishes, the Lomo Saltado & their Pollo Ala Brasa😋 We loved that there was live music (we went on a Friday). We highly suggest making reservations to guarantee a table. So the next time you’re looking to celebrate, enjoy a date night, or spend time with friends, head on over to @mypappagallo & let them know who sent you🥳

This is absolutely all around THEE BEST!! Peruvian restaurant I have ever been to. First, starting with the ambience, it is exactly how they portray themselves online. It is very lively from the moment you walk in the door. The aesthetics are very beautiful and give a very exotic vibe to the entire place. The live entertainment that they have EVERY NIGHT!! is outstanding as me, and my friends enjoyed the saxophone Sarenee all night. Now to the food 9.5 out of 10. We had a waiter named Carlos, who was so friendly and attentive all night. He was patient as we were a party of four, and he accommodated all of our small request. The ribs was a smash hit (everyone at the table, ordered it )and so was the beef skewer pasta. The pasta was a bit under seasoned, and it is not spicy like the menu suggest however, it was still delicious. The short rib empanadas were AMAZING and so was the cheese wontons. The one thing I will point out that was a bit disappointing was that there was no traditional style steak sauce or barbecue sauce, but let me be clear they have a ton of sauces that you can pair with your dish. The drinks were strong and the wine was good. It was our friend Steven’s birthday, and they gave him a beautiful happy birthday serenade. The manager, Pri , came to our table at the end of the night, and gave us free dessert, which was a chocolate cake and if you love chocolate, you would love this cake. This place is perfect for a date night, a night out with the girls, double date, birthday, or even a business dinner. The pricing is reasonable and fitting for the overall experience. I will definitely definitely be back!!!

We had a reservation for four people on a Saturday at 6. The restaurant looked beautiful on the inside and we couldn't wait to get seated. Our table was located right near the kitchen so we heard a lot of banging and clanging and on top of the music so at times it was hard to hear our waitress cause she also spoke low. One of my friends is dairy and gluten free and asked what options she could get. They said only the salmon dish and one other thing was safe. So she wound up ordering a salad with no dressing. She couldn't believe a chicken place didn't have an option for gluten free chicken. She said the salmon was good. The restaurant menu was a little different than what was on their website which was a little annoying. There was a cocktail my wife was looking forward to getting and it was not on the menu. We got the empanadas to start. For my entrée I got the Peruvian Chopped salad with chicken skewers (on their website it said you could pick a quarter chicken). Really good. We got the fried rice entrée which was a nice sized portion. My wife decided on two appetizers as her main and went with the pork belly because people raved about it online and the Palta Rellena . She said the Palta was just okay and the pork belly was chewy. For dessert she really wanted the lemon pie and when the waitress brought the dessert menu over they were out of the lemon pie and a couple other things. Very strange that on the busiest night of the week, at the start of dinner they were already out of dessert. I could see if we ate late and they ran out. It was only 6:30. So she got the mango cake and I got the Chocolate Dulce de Leche Cake. She said the mango was good, but my cake was all sugar and no taste. There was no rich chocolate flavor or caramel. Just okay. It also seemed like they were rushing to get us out. The reservation said we had a two hour slot. The empanadas came before our drinks, the drinks came right before our entrees came out and my wife wasn't even done eating her pork belly yet when the waitress asked if we wanted dessert menus. By the time we were leaving they had live music and they turned the bass up so loud, the walls were vibrating so we were shouting to hear each other. Overall despite the beautiful decor and pretty good food we were disappointed with this dining experience.

Decided to try this on a Friday night. When I first stepped into the resturant I was impressed with the decorations and ambient vibe the place had. Second, met one of the partners that own the restaurant and I must say he was very pleasant and attentive as well as welcoming. The vibe is 10/10. The food I would rate it a 8/10, I got Lomo saltado and I had my share of good Lomo my problem with this dish here was little meat and so much carbs. Not enough meat and the green sauce the amount was so minimum. My husband got the whole chicken and he stated to have enjoy the meat alot. The fried yuca was good. The lemon potatoes too as per my husband. The stew beans was okay needed a little more flavor. The menu doesn't has alot of varieties to choose from. Drinks I only had the red sangria and it was bad the presentation of the food and drink was 9/10. Customer service was 10/10 my server was Sophia and she was on point. Very pleasant and attentive with a nice attitude. They have different events so check their website or ig. They night there was a band who was playing instruments and singing. They have big nice size inch tvs at the bars to see sports or even a fighting game. Overall, I would rate this a 8/10. It's a nice place if you want to try something different and support your locals businesses. I would definitely come back and give it another try. The prices are also reasonable. Also they encourage reservations because you may have to wait from 45min and up as a walk in depending on the day and time.

This place has been recommended to me by 3 people, and it didn’t disappoint. I LOVE that they have a live music lineup almost every day of the week, which is what I seek in a restaurant, at least some good entertainment to watch and/or listen to! Hard to find a place like this on LI, so far from what I’ve experienced since living here almost 2 years. The food was so yummy, decent portions, yuca fries thinner than I’ve had but crunchy and tasty. The steak from the Lomo Saltado was juicy and yummy. The chicharrón de pollo was pretty good too. The drinks were really good, had the Winter special and margaritas and the strength and taste were great. The ambiance, vibe, diversity of people was all my cup of tea. May be a pretty long wait if you come during peak time, and the only reason I have a 4/5 for service was because even though I got a text that my table was ready, I still had to weirdly wait almost 15 mins once I got back to the restaurant for a table to be cleared and ready for us. That disappointed a bit b/c I could’ve stayed longer at the prior place I was at enjoying my drink and music (Mojo across the street, which was great too and actually connected to this restaurant!). The communication here could’ve been better. But our waitress Maria was wonderful and so cute, attentive! Would totally return. I came for a date night and would totally come back for same or an outing with my girls!
