CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
Long day, heading home, kids ask can you bring McDonald's. Long line, finally get to order and the person on the microphone keeps saying are you done after each sentence. I get to the window pay for my food. I received the drinks from one young lady and then another came down the stairs and they engaged in conversation. While talking she handed me 1 bag which included: 1 10 piece nugget meal, 1 6 piece nugget meal and 1 double cheeseburger meal. All with sauces and medium fries and as I reached for it the entire bag fell out of her hand and hit the floor. This young lady closed the window and yelled to the other girl that I dropped the bag. They both returned to the window waiting to see what I had to say, so I asked. Is it common practice to put 3 meals in 1 bag because that's way too much for a paper bag. She then asked me for the receipt and I left.
I returned shortly after my kids wanted to know why I only came home with juice. I walked in and asked to speak with the supervisor. In asking, you can clearly hear the same 2 young ladies whispering and "the dropper" states that's the lady she came back. I explained the situation to the "manager" asking if it's common to overstuff bags as opposed to distributing the food evenly. Long long story shorter, she offered a refund with the discounted drinks since I got them and at this point I did not want them to give me any food. Read moreI normally do not do low ratings, but today I sat for almost 25 minutes waiting for food. I waited ten or so minutes just to order my food, and 10 minutes for the food to come out. I got the bag, and I had ordered a double cheeseburger with extra onions and a medium fry. I got a regular cheeseburger in the bag. I had to call the poor guy bringing the food out to the cars back and tell him it was the wrong food, and he apologized and went back in. It took 5 more minutes for the food to come out. I felt bad for the poor guy bringing the food out, it wasn't his fault at all but he sounded like he felt really bad. The good was good and it was fresh, just very frustrating that I ended up being late to an appointment because of this. I know they cannot help when the drive thru is busy, but this store definitely needs help or more people. These employees definitely seemed like they needed help. I recommend going into the store if you see the drive thru line is long, I watched people who pulled up the same time as me get out 10 minutes...
Read moreFirst and foremost this McDonald's always overcharges. Any special you see advertised in the media will be at least $1 more here. Additionally they currently won't allow you to pick and choose which items from their 2 for 6 promotion you want (2 for 7 here). They force you to buy two of the same item. The drive through is usually long and they usually ask you to pull off to the side to wait for your order. Don't go inside to avoid the line, it won't matter. Don't come here if you're on tight time constraint. If you have special requests it depends on the time of day on whether or not they'll get it right. Weekday, daytime, non lunchtime, after school or rush hours are your best bet. Yes, they charge extra for sauces. The inside remodel is nice and clean but that's the extent of superlatives I have for this location. Overall it's not the worst franchise location in the general area (the 365 Rockaway Turnpike holds that distinction) but you'd be better off elsewhere like the BK on Merrick road or the Green Acres...
