Mustachio's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Sandwich was pretty good but might have been better if they didn't over charge me. They have a list of signature sandwiches for $10.75 but according to the deli clerk any modification allows them to upcharge. I had chicken cutlet,bacon and american cheese, almost identical to their first signature sandwich that has chicken cutlet, bacon, mozzarella and avocado. I was charged $15.50, so I asked why the upcharge and he said it was for the bacon. I explained that they had several sandwiches on the menu that contained chicken cutlet, bacon, and cheese for $10,75. My sandwich was only a slight modification with the type of cheese and lettuce not avocado, but he explained that unless I order the exact sandwich on the menu, then they have to charge me for the bacon. $4 for two slices, got it!

Bottom line. That's shady reasoning bro. The attitude and arguing was extremely unprofessional as well. I guess they would rather charge me an extra 4 bucks and get a bad review rather than keeping your customers happy and eager to return. Interesting business model, I guess they don't need repeat customers....

Deli Discovery Worth Repeating

While working in the area with a coworker, we were on the hunt for a good deli spot for lunch—and we’re so glad we stumbled upon this gem. From the moment we walked in, the place gave off a welcoming vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly, greeting us with genuine smiles and helpful suggestions.

I went with the turkey sandwich and a sweet tea, and I have to say, both were outstanding. The sandwich was generously packed with perfectly sliced turkey and an eye-catching spread of vibrant, fresh vegetables. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. As for the sweet tea—it was just right. Not too sugary, not too bland. Just pure, refreshing perfection.

One thing that really stood out was how clean the place was. It has to be one of the cleanest delis I’ve ever been in, which made the whole experience even better.

Ever since I heard this place was opening I have been excited to try it. I have known the owner for many years and his service is second to none. He remembers your name no matter how long is has been since he has seen you last. He we always give you a warm welcome with a smile as wide as his mustache (you can even tell through the mask).

Walking into the place you immediately notice how clean it is. The menu has a great variety and the staff is friendly. I had the Stache wrap because home fries make everything better! It had the stache sauce which was described to me as “not spicy but with a nice memorable kick”. It was that and more!
