The food here is solid, with a few standout dishes and a couple of minor missteps. For my dad’s birthday, we ordered fish maw soup, chicken feet dim sum, half a Peking duck, salt and pepper pork chops, and e-fu noodles.

The fish maw soup was excellent—often, this dish leans bland, requiring a splash of red vinegar, but here, it was flavorful enough to stand on its own. The chicken feet were expertly prepared, though they had a distinct sacha sauce flavor, which may not be for everyone.

The Peking duck, while delicious, seemed more like a standard roast duck. It lacked the signature crispy skin and delicate carving of an authentic Peking duck, but the flavor was still enjoyable. Unfortunately, the salt and pepper pork chops were the only real disappointment. The breading wasn’t crispy enough, the seasoning fell flat, and the crispy bits at the bottom were missing their usual shallot garnish.

The e-fu noodles, however, were a hit—my kids devoured two plates each, which speaks for itself.

But the real star of the experience? The service. Attentive, efficient, and a rarity that you won’t find in equivalent restaurants in Flushing. The decor was also a pleasant surprise—elegant and inviting—though the space itself is a bit small. Hopefully, they can maintain this level of hospitality because it truly...

ADVICE: NEVER BOOK A PARTY AT THIS RESTAURANT! I had planned a luncheon at this restaurant for May 10, 2025. I had called this restaurant a few weeks before to even ask if the date was available for booking and was told Yes (I spoke with Casper on the phone). I then went to the restaurant in person 3 days later, ate with family and met with the party organizer in person, Casper. I was provided a menu and her cell phone number and was told to call or text a week before the party (May 3) with the exact number and the menu I would like served. On the day of May 2, I text Casper (see text images) with the amount of people and the menu I wanted. I was told everything was fine and even the table set up. And there I thought, all is well and planned out. However, all was a MESS!! I was told the owner is canceling my party because THEY BOOKED TOO MANY PARTIES. I repeat THEY did this. Their greed,  unprofessionalism, and lack of organization ruined my luncheon party plans. They are AWFUL. All they basically said was "oops sorry!". I would never go back to this restaurant again. They do NOT care about their customer satisfaction. They just put out mediocre food just to collect money. There are so many other worthwhile restaurants in the area with better...

Don't eat here if you think this new restaurant near your grocery store is worth a try! No, no, no, not even on par with a good Mama cooking! Food here lacked luster and taste, everything tasted bland. For instance, the cucumber with spicy sauce did not have any intriguing/ tantalizing spicy, or green Szechuan pepper, or wasabi, or garlic taste, though the cucumber itself was fresh. The egg yolk sweet potato was not tender enough, the sp should have been steamed to very soft before yolk coating and fry, and the coating was tasteless, ie little to no duck yolk smell. The sliced pork belly w preserved veggi casserole was a total failure, cheap pork cuts, too fatty, pork skin was not fried, very little preserved veggi. The disaster is it was boiled, not steamed as tried in other stores, and the lean parts needed chewing, and still tasted bland! The crispy chicken was very mediocre. Only things got neither recognition nor recommendation were the free fried peanuts before meal and the free peanut soup after meal, yes you are reading correct, peanuts. So the whole kitchen needs to be fired, they don't spend time in their cooking. I predict they will be closed in a year or so. What a shame for a newly opened restaurant! Long islander should...
