Bad food, bad service...all at overly high prices. Went last night and the entire experience was poor. Start off with the stale bread that was toasted in a weak attempt to "freshen" it up. Move on to the salad...greens that not even a rabbit would like and topped with a pungent, bitter house dressing...inedible.
Main course...everything burnt. Friends had salmon which they asked to have "cooked through" and that arrived looking like they had been left on a barbeque too long. I had a grilled chicken dish that consisted of two overcooked razor thin chicken breasts topped with burnt onions, peppers and mushrooms. The sides were two small potato wedges that were both hard and tasteless and some steamed broccoli rabe that would have been better had it been tasteless.
The only thing we had that tasted good was the coffee and some powdered sugar biscotti that was complimentary.
Service...what service? Our waitress made some poor attempts at humor then took almost 30 minutes to fill a drink order. The food orders were messed up and the entrees did not all arrive at the same time. Clearly they were understaffed on a busy Saturday night and the only positive from the poor service is that we were able to sit and talk to our friends without worrying about been chased out for the next group of diners.
$10 for the poor salad, entrees in the low to mid $20s...not too pricey but way too much for the poor quality they served.
I won't be going back and the wise would be well advised to stay...
Read moreI was told about this place by my sister. dying to go for quite some time. First off the hostess was very sweet and accommodating. For a Saturday night I told him I was going to be 30 minutes late they accommodated me and sat us within 5 minutes of arriving late. We stand sat down the waitress Gabrielle was an absolute sweetheart and was extremely courteous. We had appetizer which was truffle burrata. I thought the serving was a little small but considering all the food we ate after I'm glad it was that portion. I had the lobster bisque which was absolutely delicious. You can tell that they really used lobster shells and got all the flavor out of it. They were bits of lobster and chopped up shrimp inside of the bisque. I had chicken Frenchies with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe it was rich and delicious. I also had the lobster ravioli. I added chop shrimp to it. It was also extremely rich and delicious. I paired it with a nice Pinot Grigio and guess what? It was an absolutely delicious meal from start to finish. I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the food here but the staff was extremely accommodating friendly and knowledgeable. The decor was very nice nice open concept restaurant. They put a lot of thought into the decor the lighting and the placement of the tables. I would highly recommend Casa Di Fratelli. It was a wonderful...
Read moreThis was a big disappointment! My wife and I have gone here many times before Covid so, although it’s a ride, we made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon since we were meeting friends who live nearby. I asked for a specific table since they are not usually busy at that hour. Not only was the table not available but it was in the two thirds of the restaurant where a children’s birthday party was in progress. To say it was noisy would be a complete understatement. The restaurant certainly had an obligation to let us know this in advance but I guess the extra few bucks was more important than being honest with a long standing client. We certainly would have left if it was only the two of us. Getting to the food, two of us ordered the special lobster bisque. Obviously no one understood what bisque is because instead of a thick creamy soup, what we got was thin flavored water. My wife specifically requested that her pasta dish be drained before it was brought to the table. After it was brought and the waiter quickly left to service the party, I helped my wife to drain the excess liquid filling up a bowl that was left on the table. I could go on but needless to say I will never be returning. If you are even thinking of going, think twice and ask lots of...
