My son had a nice time in his cooking class that he was signed up for a few months ago. However, he said that he wished he got to do things such as make the pizza and make ice cream, instead of just decorating everything and putting toppings on. He was a little disappointed that he only got to pour in one ingredient and mix for 10 seconds, as the other children did the same since they all shared the same batch recipe in one mixer. In other cooking classes he attended elsewhere, each child had their own bowl of ingredients to make their own little batch of food, which was more interactive and fun. That said, my son indeed enjoyed frosting cupcakes at this class. As a parent, I was disappointed that the instructors didn’t have any masks on (on the website it was stated that masks would be worn) and breathing over all the food. In addition, the class was at full capacity and children were shoulder to shoulder, as were the adults standing behind. This was as Covid variant cases were rising. At one point, two kids had their food mixed up (names written on wax paper for pizza) and the instructor said “it’s ok, it just came out of the oven.” If it were my son, I would’ve asked for his actual pizza, since his hands were stretching out the pre-made dough before being cooked. Overall, the class was easy to sign up for, the location is easy to find, the instructor was pleasant, and her assistants were very helpful. Hopefully the mask incident was a one-time thing. This is a good class for very young children, but older children might enjoy getting more hands-on...
Read moreI recently went to The Well Seasoned Chef with my department for our work holiday party, and it was such a fantastic experience! Jackie, Aaron, and Maria were absolutely amazing, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we were well taken care of from the start.
They began by serving us appetizers and water, and it’s BYOB if you want to bring wine, which is a nice touch. The evening kicked off with a fun competition to whip whipped cream for dessert, all set to the “Rocky” theme song—a hilarious and memorable moment!
The cooking class was incredibly interactive. Everyone got involved in making pasta, meatballs, and cheese from scratch. The chefs were knowledgeable, friendly, and shared interesting facts and stories while answering any questions we had.
The best part? There was so much food! We got to enjoy a delicious meal with plenty for seconds, and they packed up the leftovers for us to take home. The atmosphere was lively, and we were all laughing and having a great time throughout the night.
I highly recommend The Well Seasoned Chef for any group event or celebration. It’s a unique and enjoyable experience that leaves everyone...
