Ordered 2 waffle cones with just one scoop of vanilla each. About 7 people in the shop. After 25 minutes one of the workers(who seemed very relaxed and taking their time) asked me how long I was waiting. I said I don’t even know and he told me it will be ready soon and it’s gonna be worth it. I figured he would at this point prioritize my order since people had been ordering after me and getting their ice cream but he didnt. About 20 minutes later I finally get one waffle cone with the ice cream already melted. I started working to make sure it didn’t melt and started getting frustrated waiting for the second cone. It’s just two cones of one vanilla scoop each, it shouldn’t take this long. I asked one of the workers there if he knew how much longer I was gonna have to wait and he said “I don’t know” with an annoyed attitude. I finally got my second waffle cone and it was melted like the first and when we got outside and started walking to the car we realized the second cone was cracked. Ended up throwing the cones out the window on the drive we were so frustrated. It ruined what I thought would be a nice date with my girlfriend and made me look stupid for choosing to come here. The employees who work there don’t care how busy it gets, they have one speed. If I were the owner, I’d clean house. Terrible experience for...
Read moreThe ice cream preparation at this establishment is what sets it apart from the other ice cream shops. The use of nitrogen to freeze the cream while it is being mixed in a mixing stand is intriguing. I got the matcha flavor ice cream, something simple to start out and it was good. I like my matcha flavor to be more prominent, but this one still had a bit more of a hint. Just a scoop cost about $9 My friend got the cookie butter flavored ice cream with the waffles and topped with whipped cream. This choice was absolutely amazing. The waffle was crispy and soft and also warm when we had it. It paired really well with the ice cream. This was about $13 Another friend of mine got a milkshake. The milk shake was not really worth it as they liked more of a thicker consistency. The flavor was cookies n cream, but there wasn’t much cookies in it. It cost $13, the cookies n cream were an additional $2 to the base cost of $11. The cost of these are a little pricier than what I would normally pay for ice cream.
I may come back to have a waffle ice cream myself as that one was the most worth it. The scoop by itself and the milkshakes were not worth the price. The ice cream was also melting really easily, which I personally do not mind, but letting people know...
Read moreThe tastiest, freshest, all natural ice you will ever have! It’s not only the best in Huntington village, but one of the best on Long Island. Newsday agrees and notes “(the ice cream) is made from scratch using local dairy, organic fruit, vanilla from Madagascar and chocolate from Belgium”. The vanilla beans are from Uganda. There are no artificial ingredients or gums added. It’s fun to watch the ice cream made in a minute right in front of you. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. The place is super clean and has outside seating in addition to two levels inside. My wife and I tried roasted strawberry, vanilla, and dark chocolate. We’ve never had ice cream this good before. The flavors burst in your mouth. The dark chocolate seemed to have 4 or 5 levels of joy dancing on your tongue. The roasted strawberry was well-rounded and full-flavored without the cloying sweetness that one often tastes. And just plain vanilla was not plain at all, again multilayered in dimension. Prices are not unreasonable. A scoop (actually two big ones) is about eight bucks and their various sundaes are around eleven dollars. Run not walk to Alkemy. You...
