UNRELIABLE, DO NOT USE FOR PARTY OR CAKES

This was my experience at this "bakery". A week before my daughters 3rd birthday I ordered a blue birthday cake with the pink fong character (from the baby shark show) and provided a picture to the woman taking my order. She also also took my cookie order for 1 2lb platter of rainbow cookies and 1 2lb platter of colorful sprinkle cookies. She told me Leena would call to review the order because she is not in on weekends. Leena never called so I called her the day before the party to confirm the order. I reviewed the order with her and she said she got it and the cake and cookies would be ready for pick up in Melville at 8 AM. My daughters party started at 9:30AM at her gymnastics school. Day of the party, my husband goes to pick up the cake and cookies at 8 AM and it wasn't ready or even at the store. They said they were busy serving breakfast and the Northport shop is the one that bakes the cakes and they would drive the cake from Northport and deliver to my house by 8:30AM. The cake arrived as we were leaving for the party at 9 AM, it was dropped off by a man in his private vehicle, from his trunk. When we saw the cookies come out we immediately knew he must have grabbed the wrong platters, these were bread cookies with no color. He pulled away before we could even say a word, so I checked the cake. It was a cake with the Mommy character on it and not entirely the writing we asked for.

I immediately contacted the bakery and asked them to pick it up and deliver the correct order to the gymnastics studio. The woman informed me that there are no bakers at either shop on the weekend and there was nothing she could do, she's busy.

The bakery still charged me $70 for the wrong order. I have called and left 2 messages for Leena but it seems she is never at the store. I am still waiting on a call back, but I won't be holding my breath.

DO NOT USE THIS...

Legit coffee.

For years i've sought not just a good coffee shop but a reliable way to find them. Alas, reviews are often unhelpful, written by well meaning friends or in many cases, people whose taste consists only of a blind rage against "the other place."

I drink lattes primarily. The lattes here are objectively better than the other place - and slightly lower in price to boot.

Backstory: Became a fan of The Other Place during world travels years ago. I appreciate the consistency you get from them, in Texarkana and Hong Kong where it's hard to find a good local shop especially. But in huntington I found Giorgio's. Giorgio of course was quirky but had amazing coffee. Couldn't find him anymore one day. Well, i found him. Or rather, Emilia's did, because they're selling his coffee from the larger roastery he moved to, and it is just as good as it was when i got it from him accompanied by stories of Andean expeditions.

The baked goods aren't bad either. My thing is a good cheese danish, hard to find off Long Island. Emilia's makes good cheese danishes. When they aren't in stock, because I often arrive late in the day, the friendly staff - who seem actually happy with their jobs, a rarity in similar shops - have not yet recommended anything I didn't enjoy. Croissants, empanadas, and a few dishes I can't remember the names of. The crew here know how to bake and they have...

I was out for a stroll with my baddies and we stumbled upon this is exquisite bakehouse and had to take a look inside. As soon as we walked inside we will hit with a fresh smell of delectable baked goods, and then one of my friends pointed out the glistening sugar on the scones we all new we had to try them. The worker's they are extremely delightful. We bought our scones and left there were three types of scones blueberry ,raspberry, and chocolate chip. Me and my friends went back to my house to try these angelic looking scones.the first one we tried was the raspberry as soon as me and my friends bit into this we were hit with a unimaginable delectable taste just thinking about it makes my mouth water it was a beautiful paste in a lovely texture definitely would buy it again. The second scone we tried was the chocolate chip and when I tell you that this tastes better than a double chunk chocolate cookie I am not lying it was busting with flavor definitely was my favorite. And then last but not least we tried the blueberry scone and now this one was so good it sent my friend into a coma I mean it was savory and sweet with a beautiful paste. I give this bakehouse five stars will definitely...

I had their cheesecake while at a friend’s house and it was sooo good! My daughter was getting married upstate and asked if we could bring some butter and rainbow cookies from Long Island to supplement the wedding cake. My other daughter and I decided to try different bakeries to taste test different cookies. By the 3rd bakery, I suddenly remembered the cheesecake I had at my friend’s house. After sampling their cookies I knew Emilia’s was the winner. Simply delicious. Reminded me of old fashioned, homemade tasting cookies made with real butter. Wedding guests from all over the US said the cookies were delicious and thought the venue had provided them. My daughter made sure to say the cookies came from Long Island! I have since had their regular and pretzel croissants, pastries, breads, brownies, and empanadas, and you can’t make a bad choice. You won’t be disappointed, and the staff at both locations are very friendly.

A quaint local bakery with friendly service, lots of pastries, breads, and an assortment of sandwiches, coffee and teas. The interior is decorate with lots of cutsey wooden coffee-related signs that you’ll often find in Homegoods. There’s two tables that invite you to sit down and enjoy your purchase, but the restroom is off limits to customers (unless you ask). They offer free WiFi, but again you have to ask. Strangely there’s no visible garbage can. It’s like they want you to give you that at-home feel, but don’t stay too long. Yes I’ll return, but I’ll keep the visit brief. Every other customer that I observed got their items to go. If you’re in the mood to sit down and work from your laptop you’ll probably want to go elsewhere.

I’ve passed this place for several years and chose not to stop bc from the outside, it didn’t look very appealing. It has a small parking lot and the building looked like it good definitely use a paint job. However, a friend of mine said they have the best coffee, so I decided to stop in. Definitely a cute place inside. Everything is fresh, the staff is friendly and the coffee is the best ! I would rate this five stars, but it’s lacking one bc the parking lot is so small. If there’s four cars there, there’s no where to park and you’ll have to forego picking up the best coffee.
