Terrible staff. Family of four went in, waiting to place order, people shows up outside and without taking our orders, two of us were told to go outside twice to let the others in to take their orders. It is super rude to not take our orders and bypass us to take other customers. What made them more significant than us? I left without giving them my business. Instead of getting orders from 4 of us, they got two orders from two of us. If I could, I would not give my money to these people. Even if the pastries are worthwhile (which I'll never know now) business is about customer service.
I came back in to response to the owner's reply to my comment. You made no apologies but defended your poor customer service. I guess you DID NOT understand that we, me and my husband were in the process of ordering from one of your employees, while my daughter and daughter in law, were with another employee of yours. Two different orders. Twice we were interrupted like our order did not matter and asked to wait outside.. what's the difference of asking us to wait outside twice instead of allowing those who were waiting until we were done. I am so happy that I did not spend more money for the terrible pastry which we ended up throwing put anyways. BTW, I'm aware that we are in a pandemic..I just did my holiday stop at Buttercookey on Jericho Turnpike and there was a line in the store and everyone was taken care of, efficiently and pleasantly while...
Read moreWhen I’m running errands on the weekends, which I hate, I always do a search in the area I’m in for bakeries, which I love. Hopefully something good comes out of it. I’ve been to a lot of bakeries from Manhattan to the Hamptons. Fiorello Dolce is one of the best I’ve visited. Things got off to a good start when I couldn’t decide what I wanted from the display cases. I decided on a something I believe is a tart with nuts and caramel, and I wish I took a picture of it because it looked as good as it tasted. My family agreed because it’s all gone and I really want another one. I haven’t had anything quite like that before, and it was perfectly balanced and SO good. I also got 2 almond brioches - which we tasted in the parking lot, then ate a whole one, so I went back in and bought two more. I also got two frenegles(spelling?) which, once tasted, didn’t stand a chance either. I want more of those too. So far, everything was so fresh, with the ingredients so balanced and the result so flavorful. I’m planning to drive out to Huntington from Queens, without any other destination in mind than Fiorello Dolce. This place is the real deal. It’s tucked away in the corner of the shopping area so make sure you don’t drive past it - that would be a shame, trust me. Highly recommend...
Read moreIf I could give this place six stars I would. Without a doubt, One of the best bakeries I've ever been to and absolutely on Long Island for sure. I was looking for a bakery that has some unique type of baked goods. The French croissant bagels (in about four different varieties) are outstanding as are all the Danish, the cookies, the pies, the cakes, the breads. There's nothing that is not excellent at this bakery. The Napoleon is miles high with creme and berries! Cookies are soft and flavorful. There are a few cute little seats at the counter inside and maybe one or two tables out front. It is on Wall Street in Huntington in a quieter part of town. The person who helped us was very knowledgeable and they got everything promptly for us. They were refilling all the pastry shelves as we were there. They seemed to bake everything quite consistently and have it all available. Drip coffee and espresso shots are available. Great cappuccinos! I'm sure they do a wonderful...
