We have dined at The Shed 2-3 times, and for the most part, enjoyed it. Today, Good Friday, my husband and I stopped in around 3:15pm for an early lunch. There was no one waiting to be seated. The host looked around the dining room and told us that it would be around a 20-minute wait. She said that several tables had been given their checks, but no one seemed to be leaving, so as soon as a table opened up, we would be seated. We replied, “No problem.” Literally, at that moment, three people sitting at a typical 4-person table stood up, put on their coats, and proceeded past us to the exit. We immediately asked if that table was now available. The host said, “No” and explained that the table was reserved for large parties and because it was a Friday and that they get really busy on Fridays, she could not seat us there. We then asked if the restaurant was awaiting reservations, and she said that they do not accept reservations. We then asked how is it that we are the only ones waiting; the three people who were at the table had now left; we are a party of two (one less person than the party that just left), but cannot be seated because the table that accommodates four is on reserve for large parties? She then said that large parties consist of 3-4 people; that we were only two; that the wait would be 20 minutes; and then walked away. We then asked for a manager, explained what we were told and that we felt very unwelcomed by our experience with the host. While the manager did apologize, she brushed off our concerns and unempathetically repeated the policy without ever addressing our experience with the host. The host then returned to tell us that a table was now being prepared for us, which the manager repeated, but at that point, we felt too unwanted, unwelcomed, disregarded, dismissed, and actually discriminated against to stay. Very unfriendly! Very...
Read moreUPDATE: We went again a second time today, a week after our first visit because we've been craving it all week. This time was just as great as the first, but we arrived early before they opened so we could get an outdoor seat. They opened up right at 11am and we were the first to be seated (
Read moreI don't know how this is going to read exactly since I posted a great review two years ago and have been there numerous times since. The last time I was there it was blah blah but I just took it up as one of those days and didn't even say anything. So I'm here tonight December 6th 2023 one of the first ones at the restaurant at 4:00 o'clock for a light dinner. Bartender didn't know what he was doing or how to make a drink I drank the first one and had to send the second one back. My girlfriend said if there was a upcharge For Tito's, Tito's it's cheap vodka anyway. So up charge of $14, Makes me think about what they're actually putting in their regular drinks? Come to the salad which was dry as can be no big deal right? Wrong they charged us for the extra sauce that was on the salad? Who does that? It's buttermilk dressing really. But it gets really bad three pieces of celery, Yes I said celery...$3..................... Just so you know I'm not an ** I only had one drink which sucked that's why I sent back the other one because the bartender didn't know how to make a drink. By the way the celery was for the Blue cheese dressing we had from the chicken wings which were so hot by the way but we ate anyway those should be called firecracker chicken wings not what they called it whatever it is. Anyway I paid cash and gave a good tip anyway. I can't go there again sorry to post this. So I'm updating this about two hours later and I'm thinking what I said earlier who does this? Not even McDonald's or any fast food chain do something like that, am I wrong? That's disgusting. I will not only keep this post up but tell everyone I know. I know a pretty good amount of people and now you know....
