Wow - we just walked out the door and I RAN to leave a 5 star review. Our server, Delaney, informed us at the end of our meal that it was her first night so we were EXTRA impressed because the service was phenomenal. She was able to describe the dishes perfectly and recommended the stone fruit & basil dessert which was one of, if not the best, dessert I've ever had. I'll be back for that alone. The flavors melded together perfectly and it was the perfect light dessert to end our night on. We started with the ham & melon, eggplant, bluefin tuna belly, and scallops and each dish was a generous portion for a small plate. Every single dish was delicious. The eggplant was a really pleasant surprise because I wasn't expecting to love it but it was probably my favorite thing ate aside from the dessert. The scallops were perfectly cooked and had a delicious flavor. My only suggestion would be to include some kind of carb base to the dish or move it further up the mention since the portion is closed to a small plate only having the scallops and a few pieces of vegetable. I loved that they offered a non-alcoholic menu and we loved our N/A margarita and Arnold Palmer. The atmosphere is very romantic and moody and I can't say enough good things about the service. Overall this was one of our best dinners we've had in years and certainly one of our best in the Buffalo Niagara region. We can't wait to return and tell everyone we know to try it! My only gripe is that the lighting is dark so I couldn't take pictures of most of the beautiful dishes but I'll sacrifice pictures for...
Read moreIt really doesn't get much better than this. Get out of your comfort zone, browse through the menu, order some stuff that you normally wouldn't and be prepared to be amazed. Ask your bartender to create a proper cocktail to accompany your order. In a larger city that has such things, these folks would be in the running for a star in short order. Yeah, THAT star. So glad that they chose this location to create such a great place. Will be back plenty of times, I'm sure.
Want to know where your ingredients are sourced? Just ask. They might have been grown a mile from you. That fish you enjoyed so much? Might have been hand-speared and shipped fresh within a day. Didn't see more than a few things on the menu that piqued your interest today? Come back in 2 days. Menu has changed.
Seriously good add to the village.
Wish I would have taken pictures of our dishes, but was enjoying the ambience and conversation too much. I'll fix...
Read moreFairbanks in Lewiston was fine—but just that. The dishes (hamachi crudo, beef tartare, chicken, linguini) were tasty but lacked any real spark. It felt like a team still figuring out its playbook—solid fundamentals, no big moments. Honestly, Marcus Freeman and the Irish show more flavor and fight on a Saturday than this place did on a dinner plate. If Fairbanks wants to compete at a higher level, it needs to step up like Notre Dame does under pressure. Right now, it’s early-season...
