Five Guys — Restaurant in Town of Lockport

Five guys is usually great. This time tho, not so. We came in when they were empty, around 2pm. We were almost the first two orders. First off, we waited ages. If this was Diner Dash (kudos if you know what that is), we would've been gone. Then a large order 2 numbers after our order and my in laws order was filled first. Then the fries were old and cold. The buns were toasted. Is that normal? I don't remember that any other time we've been there but maybe it was because the condiments were scanty. Or maybe it was because the bread was old. Then they didn't do the milkshakes for the order, we had to ask. Whipped cream was ordered, however one of the two didn't have it and BOTH shakes were RUNNY. IDK if the employee had no idea how to use the machine or if it was broken or what, but this was the most regrettable $35 we've spent in a long time. Normally I can recommend Five Guys. Maybe this was a fluke....

Finally decided to go see what all the hype was about. Zagat rated burgers? Must be good. I was wrong. The music was blaring so loud we could not be heard without yelling. The lady who took our order only whispered; she added extra fries to our order (which we ended up paying for and then had to toss out) and wrong toppings for the burger. The flavor of the burger was nothing special, especially since we live in an area where you can get Ted's, Reid's or Widewaters. The real problem was the soft bun it was served on. When I received it, the bottom bun was totally soggy. 2 burgers + 2 fries and 1 drink should never cost $25. And if it does, it'd better be sooooo good you can't wait to eat it again. Definitely not the case...

Big Five Guys fan. But this truly was the dirtiest locations I have been to. The dining area was a mess from the floor to the tables. We wanted to dine in and had to clean our own table. The two young man working were more concerned about the conversation they were having than serving the customers. We ordered two milk shakes and once they called our order # I had to remind them about the shakes which took another 10 minutes to get. This location seemed to lack supervision or management. Just two young kids running the place, that seemed not to care about the business. Sad, need to do better Five Guys. $75 for 4 burgers and two shakes...
