ALDI — Local services in City of Lockport

Best grocery store in town although it’s a bit of a walk from my apartment building. I go here about once or twice a month for stock up trips and always get a lot.

Great produce, great fresh meat, great prices on everything and unique gourmet and healthier/organic/specific diet food products, like vegan, keto, or gluten free. It’s been very useful since I started my diet based on Slimfast, keto, and vegan foods.

Most products are high quality store brands, but they do have some brand names, although mostly only once in a while, since products change every week. Great “aisle of shame” section as well with unique non-grocery items.

Staff is always pleasant and ring up your groceries super fast. Also owned by the same company as Trader Joe’s, so has similar items. Gotta love that...

Never will I ever set foot in this store again! I stopped in to get some things for dinner, handed the cashier “cash”. Now I hardly ever carry cash, but regardless that day I did and figured well Ill just use up the cash that I have. The cashiers whole attitude changed. Eye rolling, mumbling under his mask, and being really dramatic going into the register to even give me my change back. Not until the end did I realize the tiny sign saying they weren’t accepting cash. Did I read the sign? No honestly like most were just assuming it has something to do with Covid, or wearing a mask. But how hard would it have been to nicely say that? I would have just given card…no big deal. This cashier was childish and made it into a big deal. I felt so uncomfortable, and angry.
